Tupac's Mom

It Feels Like He Died Yesterday

It's been 15 years to the day since Tupac Shakur was shot to death -- but his mother is still coping with the rapper's untimely end ... claiming she feels the same pain now she felt back in 1996.

A rep for Afeni Shakur tells TMZ, she's spending the anniversary of Tupac's death with family and friends in Northern California -- mourning her son's passing.

According to the rep, Afeni feels like it was just yesterday that her son was shot dead -- and the pain hasn't subsided even a little.

Dude helped transform our culture and isn't around to see how devastating gangsta rap has been to society.

Pull your pants up, lose the fake gold tooth, and maybe spend more time looking for a job than you do those roxi's...

On the bright side, he has missed 911 and Chaz Bono.

The pain will never go away. You learn to live with it, putting into action what the word "live", means; knowing that as you live, Tupac is "alive" in the world. Love, Peace, and Blessings to you, Mother Afeni, for bearing the gift of Tupac Shakur.

While not a big fan of her son, I empathize with Ms Afeni Shakur the loss of her son for what ever reason is absolutely heartbreaking. The article is about her sense of loss for someone she obviously loved. You folks writing all of these nasty remarks should be ashamed of your selves. Ms. Shakur I hope you find peace with your loss.

If her pain has not subsided "even a little bit", she could really use the services of a top-notch grief counselor. It does sound, however, like she's found her true calling in life as the grieving Mother. She wouldn't be the first Mother to go that route.

Tupac was a talented artist. I still remember him as a young man in Digital Underground and in the movie 'Nothing but Trouble'. But he chose his own path, however destructive it may been. His Mom should have been there and redirected his life. It's all about being involved in your kids' lives. I do have compassion for her pain and her photo is heartbreaking.

from the trash i see posted on this site i can only assume that half of the viewers of this site probably don't even know who tupac is because they're probably not even 15 years old. for those who don't know, tupac was and always will be hip hop king. if tupac were still here all of the garbage rappers that you young'uns idolize would have been ran out of the business within a week or two and would be janitors at walmart.

Let's us not forget Tupac's legacy. He was extremely talented and did not deserve to be killed so young. Talk about his music, talent, vibrance for life. It was drastically taken away from his Mom as well as all of his million fans far too soon. RIP

Bless her of course the pain is still there, she'll never have her son back. It's the worst thing for a parent to bury their child.

TMZ yall of digging for things so why not dig into the investigation of Tupac's death. 15 years later and his murder is still unsolved, he was gunned down on a busy road in las vegas,he had FBI's following him yet no one saw anything...odd isn't it and then when there was a witness willing to speak he got killed. I believe the authorities are holding back, if they reveal the truth they'll be exposed.

Wonder if she feels bad for wasting time on crack and not working harder to raise a better family when she had the chance. All the quality time wasted on drugs. She must really have some demons
