Hank Williams Lashes Back!

You Didn't Fire Me

... I QUIT!!!!!

10/6/2011 9:33 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Hank Williams
Are you ready for some controversy???

Hank Williams Jr. claims his departure from "Monday Night Football" was by his OWN doing  ... insisting he was NOT fired by ESPN.

Williams released a statement ... saying, "After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision."

He adds, "By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE.  It’s been a great run.”

It looks like ESPN beat Hank by several minutes in posting its announcement about the separation.

What an idiot. Why can't he realize this has nothing to do with the 1st Amendment. Pretty sure my "Rowdy Old Boyfriend" will continue to watch MNF.

Please. Like he'd quit such a cushy gig if they'd let his dumb ass stay. I think he's just lost his damn mind - and he's a narcissist. Good riddance.

The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
What Hank did was speak his mind. ESPN firing him is also their right. They didn't violate his first amendment rights, they used their first amendment rights to say they disapproved and no longer wanted his services because of it.

Hank...you dumbass "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

good as gold

I wonder if Hank Jr wasnt under the influence of alcohol or drugs [illegal or prescription] when his dumb analogy. By the way, Hitler ordered the killing of millions of innocent people with poisonous gas then burned their bodies in ovens. Comparing Hitler to any political figure [Bush, Obama, or anyone else] is a terrible analogy for anyone to use regardless of your religion or political views.

After listening to this Moron's comments about President Obama, whether you're a supporter or not, Hank (the moron) Williams should have been terminated. There is no place in the NFL for this unpatriotic, low life, poor excuse for a human being.

Bigger Texas

Hank is unimportant - but so correct. Obama is a horrible president and person. The absolute most detrimental president in the history of our country. Don't you just love these TMZ folks that think they are ultra-intelligent compared to the rest of the country!! The long haired dude sounds like a moron.

So the Republican led Congress passed a law making it a crime to sing the theme to Monday Night Football? Maybe he's right; John Boehner IS comparable to Hitler.

Question for @Bigger Texas. If Bush was eligible for another term and won would the country be in any better shape than it is?

Do us all a favor and OD, or get in a car wreck like your druggy daddy. Hank has the credibility of Roger Rabbit so who cares what this pain prescription abuser has to say. I hope you OD already so we can all visit it and piss on it.
