Penn State Coaches

Urge Players' Friends & Family:

"Wear White for JoePa"

11/10/2011 3:44 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

1111_penn_state_exMultiple sources connected with the Penn State football team tell TMZ ... coaches held a meeting with players today and told them their friends and family should show support for ousted coach Joe Paterno by wearing white to the game on Saturday.

It's a bold move, considering there is a university-wide move for people in the stands to wear baby blue to support the alleged sexual assault victims of Jerry Sandusky

In addition to wearing white, we're told the coaches informed the team they may change the time and location of the pre-game meal because of security concerns.

And, we're told, the coaches assured the players there would be "enhanced security" for the game.

i don't get this - all these ppl care about is what is happening to them - their school experience their games and not the poor victims - these are the most self grandizing delusional self centered ppl i have seen in my life, i am just ashamed for all of them

This is definitely not true... Penn State and the Athletic Department and students are having a "Blue Out" for child abuse awareness... There is definitely nothing going around about wearing white for JoePa (which he would not want anyway)... The "source" of this information is completely unreliable

LEAVE JOE ALONE!!!HE DID WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSE TO. HE REPORTED IT. HOW ABOUT GOING AFTER THE IDIOT WHO ACTUALLY DID THE RAPING? OR HOW ABOUT THE IDIOT WHO WALKED IN ON IT AND DIDN'T STOP IT??? HOW IS HE STILL ON THE TEAM AND NOT THE COACH WHO MADE THAT SCHOOL?? SHAME ON PENN STATE FOR THROWING JOE UNDER THE BUS!!LEAVE JOE ALONE!!HE IS INNOCENT!!

Unfreaking believable!!! The coaches are more worried about Paterno than the little boys that were raped and molested. I agree with ESPN College Football Analyst,Mark May, the whole coaching staff at PSU needs to be sent packing.....NOW!!!

personally, i think it is 100+% IMPOSSIBLE!! that a athletic coach anally rapes a 10 year old boy in the lockeroom showers, some other guy catches him doing it, it gets reported, and then no one bothers about the subject anymore beyond that. maybe mqqueeny had it out for snadusky's job, and tried to set him up. which is why no one bothered investigating the incident. i mean how does an entire school board just downplay something like that? it's impossible.

I have a little girl that was molested. Her molester committed suicide. It was a sad situation all around.. This is how child molestation occurs; her molester had molested before - people don't want to rock the boat - being it family, business, etc... People don't want to be involved. STAND UP FOR CHILDREN - SEND PREDATORS TO JAIL

why is there any debate, it's your duty as an adult to stand up for a child in danger and do something about it right then, not sluff it off ---- if you MUST go then wear baby blue

en Todo Momento!!

why criminalize everyone across the board for 'not doing anything'? authorities should have gotten involved, regardless of who said and who saw what. sexual abuse of children is a felony and a serious matter, and should have been investigated by professionally trained officals, not passed around the he said she said crowd to resolve. where were child services, the parents, the district attorney's office etc??? you can't just shove all the responsibility off on the coaches, the school and the football team.

@en Todo Momento!! --- you need to read the grand jury report (multiple children molested) and use some common sense. If he was trying to set him up wouldn't he have done more than just go to his daddy?

Yes, let's show our support for JoePa. Let's forget the reason he was fired. Let's forget his heir-apparent is accused of being a child raper! What a disgrace! The arrogance of the coaching staff never ceases to amaze me! Just goes to show that they still call all the shots!

OMG - these people still just do not get it. No one should wear anything to support someone who knew about a sexual assault on a child and DID NOTHING. Especially when it flies in the face of the movement to wear blue in support of the actual victims. JoePa is no victim. He's a coward who sacrificed young children to protect his football program and his "legacy".
