'Alcatraz' Producers

Rush to Save Stroke Victim

3/7/2012 12:30 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Several producers behind the show “Alcatraz” rushed to help save a stroke victim’s life today in San Fran -- but sources tell TMZ, the rescue effort wouldn’t have been possible ... if not for a poorly parked car.

According to sources, the car was parked on a street where the crew needed to film -- so producers tried to locate the car's owner ... and traced it back to a house on the block.

When producers knocked on the door, we're told a young woman answered, and informed producers her mother had just suffered a stroke and she didn't know what to do.

According to sources, producers notified several on-set SF police officers -- who then rushed into the house, where the woman's mother was located. Soon after, an ambulance arrived and transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No word yet on the woman's current condition. We're told production has since resumed on set.

Apologies; we have heard of 911 in San Francisco. Don't know what's wrong with this chick.

Cool story - hope lady will be ok - but was the young woman a complete moron? Even a child can call 911. Frankly, the producers should have called 911 first & then got the officers nearby who could assist until medical help arrived.

Cheez, its a wonder the poor lady made it with these people gawking at her instead of getting medical help asap. Time is vital with life and death emergencies!!

I hope the mother is all right. Thank goodness the producers were there, they saved her life. If she was waiting on this idiot "who didn't know what to do" she'd be dead fo sho.

Gee I wonder if the on-set policemen accessed driving records of people that movie producers need to move a car, because you know that would be so legal within their rules of course.

Who cares about the old broad?

The real question is: did the car get moved?

Um, one little problem with this story: "Alcatraz" is filmed in Vancouver, Canada.

This is the Providence of God; when someone just happens to be in the right place at the right time, that is God working.
