Ex-James Bond OUTRAGED

Over Heineken Deal --

New 007's a Sellout!!!

5/23/2012 1:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

They don't make 'em like they used to -- at least according to the guy who played James Bond in 1969, who's pissed the new Bond film has axed 007's signature martini ... in favor of a corporate-sponsored beer.

If you don't know ... the people behind Daniel Craig's next Bond flick "Skyfall" closed a reported $45 million deal with Heineken -- forcing the iconic character to drink beer in the movie, instead of a vodka martini ... Bond's famous drink of choice.

Bond orders the drink in practically every movie ever -- just check the clip below from "The World Is Not Enough."

Devoted Bond fans everywhere are pissed -- a list that includes former James Bond actor George Lazenby, who played 007 in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."

Lazenby tells us, cutting the martini in favor of a Heiney breaks a sacred tradition -- and to add insult to injury, "It's not the best beer out there, either."

Lazenby adds, it's sad filmmakers will always "go where the money is."

I am going to assume the producers tried very hard to get makers of martini ingredients to step up, but the beer people won out with the $45 million. As Daniel Craig said, "Bond movies cost a lot to make." I would not like to see a Bond movie that was made on the "cheap" so if getting a beer sponsor is what it takes, so be it.

That is absolutely egregious. What a sell out. I am a big James Bond fan and I will NOT go to see the latest movie because of this.

Does George like his Heiny shaken or stirred?

If McDonalds offered enough money 007 would be eating a happy meal, very sad.

OMG! Seriously? Is nothing sacred anymore? Why is money the only thing that matters to anyone anymore?

This won't be a real Bond movie. I hope they enjoy their beer because they've lost me as a fan.

Yes Heineken is trash low class beer that tries to look high class. They changed the formula years ago and now it is terrible. It used to be good. It is like Mcbeer any more. If they want Bond to look sophisticated, Heineken in not the way to go. That is more like frat boy in a sports bar beer.

Not like I really care, but why is everything for sale?

I think they are using GMO ingredients in beer and that is why it tastes horrible, from the yeast to the corn they use in place of hops and barley. It is really sickening. That is why beer sales are falling off, it makes people sicker than the alcohol in it.

They do this with cheap vodka also though.

And the American culture takes another huge self inflicted blow to cheapen everything it stands for.

I'd forgive a perfectly poured Guinness, maybe.

Everytime I order a martini it's shaken not stirred! Like they couldn't have gotten a corporate sponsorship from a leading brand of Vodka? Gimme a break. That's just lame.
