Phillip Phillips

FINALLY Has Surgery

For Massive Kidney Stones

6/7/2012 6:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0607_phillip_phillips_gettyPhillip Phillips finally went under the knife to remove the enormous kidney stones that almost derailed his run to the "American Idol" title ... TMZ has learned.

We're told Phillip had the 6 and a half hour long surgery in L.A. yesterday -- and he is recovering well today. The stones that were removed were so huge there was no chance he could've passed them on his own.

As TMZ first reported, Phil was scheduled to have the surgery last week ... but it was delayed because he had a fever and sinus infection.

Phillip suffered through excruciating pain during the entire season of 'Idol.' It obviously paid off.

Oh what a relief.

He seemed like a really nice guy. However he couldn't sing a lick.

The kidney stones do explain the extreme look of pain on his face when he was screeching. I couldn't believe that the judges were so impressed. They must have been on acid to even consider whatever he was doing was singing. I am over 60 I guess there is still hope for me after all.

Having kidney stones twice, my doctor suggested that I start drinking cranberry juice daily every morning, as cranberries are supposed to help prevent the formation of kidney stones. Well, I am not a big fan of juice, so thought I would give the Cranberry Concentrate from Lady Soma Products a try. Its a cranberry supplement with Vitamin C in it. I am very pleased with the product, and it has totally helped!

Cranberry juice tastes awful and is mostly sugar, and the antibiotics give me stomachaches. Absolutely no side effects for this Lady Soma Cranberry Supplement. Don't know now what I'd do without it.

WOW 6 and a half hour long surgery! Ah and a fever and a sinus infection, gosh Phillip, how can you take better care of yourself? Maybe you do need some nutritional help like this post suggests..... http://www.jiggyhealth.com/uncategorized/does-american-idol-need-a-nutritionist/
