Rage Against the Machine Bassist

Paul Ryan's a Dumbass

For Liking Our Music

EXCLUSIVE

Republican VP hopeful Paul Ryan should've thought twice before saying he's a fan of Rage Against the Machine -- because the band's bassist tells TMZ, it makes Paul look like a complete idiot.

Tim Commerford was out in Malibu this week when we asked about Paul's love for the notoriously left-wing group -- and Tim responded, "Clearly [Paul's] not smart to be admitting that."

He adds, "It seems like it's stupid for him to even bring it up, so he's obviously not that smart of a guy."

Tom Morello -- Rage's guitarist -- has already ripped Paul over his fandom, saying, Paul "is the embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades."

You'll recall, last time we spoke to Commerford he hinted at a new Rage album in the works. This time we asked if the new album was for real, and Commerford replied, "DEFINITELY ... maybe ... Anything is possible."

Thanks for clearing that up.

Celebrities need to entertain us like the freaking clowns that they are and leave politics out of it. They don't live in America, they live in their bubble and have no idea what real life is about. This guy should count his blessings that someone even likes his music. Keep talking *******, one day you too will be dining with Dixie Chicks - who?

and RATM is true to their cause of feeding the poor and helping the homeless...............oh wait they play damn-expensive Gibson guitars on a wall of stack-amps that cost more than people's houses while selling sweatshop-made concert t-shirts to shows with expensive tickets with a ton of fees added while expecting you to buy their albums and make them richer....while they preach how everyone else needs to do more to make the world a better place.

And when considering the MILLIONS of times they've complained how America is the most evil antion on earth (especially at their concerts), I am surprised they're still here. If they hate it so much here then they should ahve gotten the hell out int he 1990's.

The best part of the article for me was that they asked him when he was "out in Malibu this week"......so much for the machine. I guess this guy does not get that most do not even care about his view of politics he is really just an entertainer and that is it. Yeah he is raging against the machine in one of the most affluent areas in CA. GMAB

Obama also represents the "embodiment of the machine that our (Rage Against the Machine) music has been raging against for two decades."

Tom Morello, orig founder and guitarist for Rage Against the Machine, gave his opinons on both Ryan and Obama.
-
Tom's opinion on Ryan:
"People (like Ryan) are drawn to us by the music, the aggression, the rockingness of it. Paul Ryan was a jackass before he listened to it, came out a jackass at the end, so he missed a lot of it."
-
Tom's opinion on Obama:
"I drank a little bit of the kool-aid initially," he sighed, referring of the cult of personality around candidate Obama four years ago. "It looked different than any other president, sounded different than any other presiden...and then he acted the same as all the other presidents. If you have war crimes on your record, and you still continue to suck at the corporate teat like he does -- my hopes were higher."

Not so one-sided as some would have us think ;)

At least Paul Ryan is able to get his teeth fixed so he doesn't look like a dumb, uneducated, white-trash hillbilly, whose dumber than a box of rocks and spouts off nonsense.

Is this Rage Against the Machine moron saying his music is only good for some of the people? What an elitist, non-sensitive, non-inclusive, non-tolerant ass-hat he is. Socialism and communism means acceptance to all, moron. You can't even get your own party beliefs correct. Now, go fix that silly tooth.

"Ooo! We're RATM! We hate ... well, The Machine, obviously, it's right there in the name. Ooo! And anybody who likes our music but doesn't agree with our politics must be stupid!"

That's right, stay relevant. Keep on believing. Keep on performing in concerts that make you tons o' money. Now THAT'S a machine you can live with, amiright?
