Mama June & Honey Boo Boo

You Can't Stop Us from Selling Girl Scout Cookies!!!

2/28/2013 2:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Mama June
and Honey Boo Boo are going full steam ahead with their Girl Scout cookie campaign ... despite stern warnings from the Girl Scout organization.

As we reported, the Girl Scouts of the USA contacted HBB today to remove a banner she had put on her Facebook, in which she solicited sales for Girl Scout cookies from her 700,000 fans. (FYI -- HBB's not even a Girl Scout. She just agreed to help a Girl Scout friend of hers.)

A rep for the GSUSA told us they had the banner removed because it was unfair to other Girl Scouts trying to sell cookies.

But Mama June tells TMZ, she's going to continue selling Girl Scout cookies any way she can ... even if she's not allowed to post advertisements on HBB's Facebook ... because it's for a family friend.

June tells us, "If I can raise more money for a troop, whoever they are, especially in an area where they don’t get a lot of money, and parents can’t afford to buy a ton of cookies, why wouldn't I help?"

She added, "We're doing nothing wrong."

June says she's already sold 400 boxes and the orders keep pouring in.

If I recall correctly, a couple of girls in one troop or maybe just one, had her parent take the cookie list to work and got a lot of sales there. Then when the council saw that most of the sales were like fifteen in one little town, and then suddenly this girl has like forty from all over, they got suspcious. I think the money from the sales was then confiscated by the council and the girl was disqualified from any prize.

This is cheating. That is against the girl scout law. What is the point of being in the club if you arne't going to at least try to follow the rules?

Girl Scout is supposed to build character. How are you going to build character if you encourage, allow and look the other way when there is cheating? This makes the other girls feel resentful and like their efforts weren't really worth it.

It makes the whole organization look shabby and weak. It is not how much you sell that counts, but they way you sold it. Teaching that the end justifies the means is the worng lesson. Honesty is its own reward.

I live in Italy so I have only seen one clip of this show but that was quite enough. I really don't care about the cookie issue, but is anyone else weirded out that this kid has 700,000 fans? Seriously? We need to re evaluate who we give fame too in this country.

Diamond Goddess!

I really think Mama June is one of THE best media manipulators EVAH!!!
Veeeeerrry savvy lady.
And WTF is WRONG with the Girl Scouts?
They should be glad for the free pub and that someone's buying their WAY overpriced cookies.
(I also think they think the June brood isn't exactly fit to be advertising for them, too.)

BB, the whole point of selling the cookies is for FUNDING! If it is about winning an individual prize, then THAT is not a good lesson. Isn't it about the good of the whole group and not the individual? Isn't that the real lesson? Yes, there are incentives, but it's about the bottom line sales as a WHOLE, just like any other private company, or even a non-profit. It's even more important for a non-profit to RAISE FUNDS! That's the whole point of selling cookies! If She sells a box to each fan, aren't there a lot of girls out there who could then get uniforms, go to camp, go on trips? Isn't that the point? Not an electric scooter or a backpack for one girl! Get it right! You sound like the person at the mandatory employee meeting who raises their hand every five seconds, pointing out how "unfair" everything is because you can't do anything as well as anyone else.

Duh, you sound like a proud sheeple. If someone has an objection at an employee meeting, why should that bother you? Isn't that what the meeting is for? At least you get to have your grieveances heard.

You think it is so great for HBB to corner the cookie market, but what about the girl who would have made a sale in some area, except that they would rather order from the big star HBB? Is that fair?

You have a twisted sense of justice and right and wrong. Earning money is not the ultmate virtue, unless you are a fascist. It sounds like you are some quisling slave to the machine anyway, just glad to have enough to hit a Dunkin Donuts and a Tarjet shopping spree.

its not fair? you have these poor kids forcing sales on people for money you most likely keep and its not fair? why do they care where the money comes from?

i bought cookies from a scout selling outside of petco this year. her dad was with her. they were already sold out of thin mints.

he said this year the girls had to be very careful about how many boxes they got to sell because any they didn't sell they had to buy themselves.

the scouts and their families were scared to order too many boxes because in this economy paying 4.00 for a box of cookies is a splurge and they were scared they would misjudge how many folks would be willing to buy.

while it helps that particular troop it's not fair to other troops. why not just follow the rules? if she wants to raise money for the scouts then why not just have the checks made payable to the girl scouts for their state? not that one particular troop?

Cant stop them from eating them either. Who else thinks theyre the ones that bought and ate those 400 boxes?

The Girl Scouts themselves are suppose to sell the cookies. Not the mothers or the friends or anyone else. The Girl Scouts sell cookies and the Boy Scouts sell apples. Everything the scouts do as activities goes towards earning badges for themselves which is a learning experience for their future. The more cookies the girls sell the more they learn. What these girls learn in scouting is something that cannot be taught in a classroom in school. This woman is not doing anyone any favors. OK June is a huge competitor. We get it. Enough already. I truly feel sorry for Honey Boo Boo for having June as her mother.

The cookies suck, and times are so different now. The GSA should use Facebook, Twitter and any other means needed to sell the cookies. It's also more dangerous these days for a young girl to go from door to door to peddle cookies. Leave HBB and MsJune do what they want. It's for a good cause! Dayam....

I absolutely cannot understand why America embraces these idiotic money-hungry disgusting people. Get a life! There are more important things to write about.
