Paris Jackson

Cops Say She DIDN'T Want to Die

Cops officially classified the Paris Jackson incident as a "suicide attempt," but they do NOT believe her intent was to kill herself.

Law enforcement sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... based on the information the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. has gathered ... "She wanted attention."  One source involved in the case tells us ... her call to a suicide hotline is compelling evidence "she wanted to be saved."  The source added, "It makes no sense if you really want to die to call a hotline, where the person on the other end will get an ambulance over to your house."

TMZ broke the story ... Paris used a meat cleaver to cut her arm and took a bunch of Motrin, and our sources say as a result they must classify it as a "suicide attempt."  But, as one source put it, "Who takes Motrin to kill themselves?  She called the suicide hotline because she wanted the attention and wanted to make sure EMTs got there in time."

We're also told Paris was conscious when EMTs arrived and did not argue or put up a struggle when she was placed on a stretcher.

One source connected with the case tells us, "She's into the drama."

This Article should NEVER have been approved to be posted! She's 15! If she just wanted attention then how did she manage to cut herself! If she was looking for attention with no emotional problems other than drama, it would have just been "I'm going to kill myself" notes and rants, She certainly would not have been able to cut herself enough to need stitches! Seriously, anyone care to experiment to see if they can willingly cut themselves with no emotional undertones? You will NOT be able to.
.
There is NOTHING that says she didn't want to die. She clearly felt that way when she did what she did, Sometimes brush with death can make a person regret their actions and suddenly wish to stay alive! it happens A LOT! To say she just into drama and never intended to do anything simply because she called the hotline is moronic, ignorant and extremely judgmental.

.
My respect for TMZ has dwindling to non existence the fact they publish this article knowing and encouraging hateful trolls who have no heart to comment towards a teen girl who obviously has some deep emotional issues, I hope she NEVER reads the comments and I hope this article will not encourage these trolls to tweet her telling her to go ahead and do it, i will be personally holding TMZ responsible for their part for winding up the pack of wolves that are out for blood and for just putting this kind of article out there. She's 15 YEARS OLD! she isn't an adult you can bloody pick on and harass until she breaks down like the ones you have constantly gone on about in the past. TMZ thrive from people having Mental problems. It's sickening, gossip is one thing but going after people who are mentally ill and reporting their every move is just bullying!

I feel bad for the kid, with all the **** that's happened over the last 3 years with Michael dying, the Conrad Murray case and now being asked to take the stand in another law suit, she must be having a hell of a time. It's not all about how much money you have people. That poor girl has gone through alot, I can't image living with the Jackson's is easy.

With this seemly flagrant disregard for any journalistic integrity, which we all realize you barely grasp the slightest concept of, you basically just dared a 15 year old to commit suicide and kept hundreds of others from picking up the phone to a suicide hotline. Good day's work guys... I hope you pull this before one of your daddy company's lawyers comes in with talk of "libel."

The same story as MANY 14/15/16 year old girls. They want the attention and thinks it makes them sort of a badass by doing this. I really hope she gets help. She seems to be a smart girl. Just hang in there a few years Paris and life will become beautiful again.

TMZ.. what a fantastically shameful thing to do. Let people get on with their lives and solve their problems without this trashy coverage, hideous copy and spiteful attempts at making a bad situation the business of the great unwashed. This is not a soap opera, this is not make-believe, this is a young, 15 year-old girl who is in a position like no other on planet Earth. There is a very good reason Michael Jackson did all he could to protect these children from sleazy outlets such as TMZ.

Doing the right thing is obviously bad for s*** business like the one you revel in, but FFS... TRY! You put together headlines and vile copy "if she really wanted to do it she wouldn't have called" then post "Get well soon, Paris" simultaneously.

Abhorrent behaviour. You should all be ashamed.

Do any of the people down at TMZ have kids in school? I bet they're bullying their classmates.

Just because you don't have full intent to kill yourself, does not mean you are not hurting. A lot of suicidal people do this as a cry for help because even when they tell someone how they are feeling no one listens. Leave the poor girl alone and let her heal in peace.

It's dangerous to make public mental health diagnoses when not qualifed, who is the cretin Tmz source that said u dont call hotline if u want to kill yourself? Omg just stfu! Source is obviously not a shrink, probably 1 of Sheriff Crooked's PR puffers smh.

AND this is a MINOR's medical info you're leaking gossip about, TMZ! Did her guardian sign waiver for u to release any medical info? --> Don't ignore HIPAA laws!

I don't believe any of the teenagers attempting suicide want to die! They don't even know what that means! It's a stomp my foot reaction, because nobody listens to them anymore.

TMZ, you better take out that "She's into drama" quote" She's just a child, she probably grabbed the first drug she saw, thinking that will kill her. I'm pretty sure she didn't just swallow just one pill. It may not kill her but swallowing large quantities of Motrin can damage you're organs. Suicide is a serious subject and shouldn't be taken lightly and brushed under the carpet. How many people have died because people around them didn't took them seriously, thinking they're just drama queens? I bet A LOT. Just because she didn't succeed now doesn't mean she wont succeed in the future. Thanks to insensitive people like you, maybe she'll try something more dangerous that will instantly kill her 100% in the future. So you sick people can start rejoicing. Very irresponsible reporting. Unless you can read Paris' mind or you're a psychiatrist, you have no right putting a quick judgement like that. And of course she called the suicide hotline. Isn't that what it's for? for people who are desperate for help and contemplating on suicide? If she had people around her that she felt she could trust, she wouldn't feel the need to call the suicide hotline. I guess she didn't. TMZ and some folks over here should take Sensitivity Class 101, coz you guys are in desperate need of one.
