Lil Wayne

FLAG TRAMPLE WAS AN ACCIDENT

I Didn't See It There

6/18/2013 9:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0618_lil_wayne_flag_youtubeLil Wayne is lying through his diamond-encrusted teeth ... claiming he didn't INTENTIONALLY step on the American flag during a video shoot ... despite the fact he can be seen looking down on Old Glory several times during the performance.

Wayne just tweeted about his controversial video shoot for "God Bless Amerika" in New Orleans ... saying, "I didn't step on the flag on purpose! It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform."

Translation -- I swear it was an accident ... please don't hate me.

Problem is ... during the video, you can see Wayne look down on the flag at several points in the shoot ... yet continues to trample all over the stars and stripes.

So ... you buyin' Weezy's explanation?

Forget about him stepping on the flag! The concept of the video was to drop the flag down and show the hoods of America, him walking on the flag is not what he was intentionally trying to do to desecrate the Flag. The Flag touching the floor & him walking on It is the part of the music video that you're not gonna see when it comes out, because that's not what he was trying to accomplish in the video. But of course when you see the video, you're only gonna pay attention to Wayne walking on the Flag, instead of the concept which is to show that the hood is the only America they know, because they aren't fortunate enough like most rich spoiled kids are. I wouldn't expect most people who do not live in the hood to understand. Also for everybody that keeps on saying that the Flag was dropped on purpose & that he looked at the ground so he knew that the Flag was there. NO FU*KING SH!T the Flag was dropped on purpose, did you see what was revealed behind the Flag when it was dropped, or are you that ignorant? All those people weren't standing behind the Flag because they wanted Wayne's Autograph, They Were Part Of The Video! & what people don't understand (because TMZ stay telling BS) is that when he said he didn't step on the Flag on purpose, he meant that he didn't step on it intentionally to desecrate the Flag like most people stay saying. He had to continue performing because him walking on the Flag is the part of the music video that you're NOT gonna see!!!

There is another rapper Kemo The Blaxican with a video called "That's When She Died" that was released last year.
In the video the U.S. flag is "worn", "burned" and displayed "upside down".
It walks a thin line on breaking The U.S. Code flag. It is a great video but controversial.
Look it up on Youtube and tell me what you think!
We must also remember that the flag stands for FREEDOM OF SPEECH, the 1st amendment, therefore, WE THE PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT to protest.

if ANY of the people there cared about the flag, they would have had a person ready to pull the flag quickly from the ground when it fell below camera sight!

This reminds me of George Bush walking on a floor mat with the American Flag printed on it at the 9/11 memorial - and thinking, WHY would they put that on the ground for your dirty shoes to step upon?

God bless our veterans who have been injured or died fighting for freedom that even Lil can do this, and not be punished for it!

A lot of people grow up not saying the Pledge of Allegiance and therefore do not understand the deep importance that is has. Personally, I would never even use the flag in a video. Making money by using an important patriotic symbol is a bit trashy. I have more class than some second rate rapper though so I understand how he would go ahead with it. Hope he burned it afterwards...or does he even know he's supposed to?

How, when you're looking down at your feet, you don't see the flag you are walking back and forth across? Curious if he has an eye condition that needs to be looked at.

Bull****, disrepectful!! 1st of all Our Flag falls to the ground BAD, next he's stepping all over it. He has looked down severally time how the hell can you not know. So cut the bull**** he got caught on camera and now America is piss off for disrespecting Our Flag. He need to be man and face the fact that he messed up. Looks like record deals will fall, just like Our Flag did in his video. Plus his song sucked.

His lyrics are spot on. 3/4 of Murica lives in denial and are totally lacking self awareness!

It really doesn't matter what any of us think. HOWEVER, anyone that dissatisfied with this country should leave. If it's that bad, why stay your dumb a$$ here? I dnt give two s#@$* about his freedom of speech. That's the problem, where do we actually draw the line? He should TAKE A FEW SEATS!! STHD! Not for nothin, this s@&*$ for brains actions and every other bad thing in America is not the fault of one president. Let's not lose track of the real issue. Respect and pride in this country should have been taught to this guy long ago.
