-- FYI, Paula just yanked the video apology from her YouTube channel.

gray-bar-update
Paula Deen
continues to step in it, and we know part of the problem is that her team doesn't have a clue.

She just issued a weird, video apology with an edit after almost every sentence.  It's as if some publicist is feeding her lines that she has trouble delivering.

Rather than explaining why she used the N-word in the past -- something she might have been able to explain given her background -- she's just begging for forgiveness.  It feels like it's coming from a bunch of suits, and not from her heart.  Huge miss.

Sources connected with Deen tell TMZ ... this was an apology produced by committee -- a committee of lawyers, publicists and other managers who don't understand the meaning of the word "apology."  They've strung a bunch of words together that make Deen look pathetic ... throwing herself at the mercy of the court of public opinion.

It's sad.

What about all the white people who go to a Jay-Z/Kanye West concert and sing along with their song *****s in Paris?? Are they all racists?? Such a double standard, if the word should not be spoken, then no one should speak it. Regardless of race.

So, anytime someone admits to doing or saying something wrong 20 years ago, they lose their current job even if they apologize. Well, that is gonna put lots of folks out of jobs in Hollywood, NY and DC LOL

If Oprah said the n word no one would bat an eye.. Buy because she's white shes not ''allowed'' to use that word. Sounds like racism to me.

Who cares??? I'm Black, and I know the difference between Negroes & n-words... A n-word does not, I repeat, does not define a race, but the way someone acts... Read a dictionary!!! I could care less who uses it, I've seen more n-words that were not Black, than Black ones... So, I could care less about here apology, or her having her fifteen minutes of fame over this BS...

If you've never used a racial slur, a prejudice comment, or said something inappropriate then comment away... if not... shut your mouths you have no place to comment... Paula Deen I still love ya say what you want to say bc until record labels drop rappers for using the same word up to 10 times per song, you are just fine lady!

Who cares if she used the "N" word? So does every other black person in America. Why not scrutinize them for being hypocrites when it comes to using that word? Or better yet scrutinize them for using racial slurs towards other races. I always hear Blacks saying words like "chink" "******" "white hoe" white bitch" and so on. Oh but that's o.k. Get over it black America!!

this woman has worked hard all her life thru many obstacles. raised 2 boys and built a career for herself. she has done more in her life than most. it is ok for blacks using it to each other but not any one else. why and when did we all get so thin skinned. maybe if we realize that we all make mistakes we could forgive each other when we slip up. maybe the world would be a better place if we could find forgiveness instead of blame. we are all human red black white etc. we all make mistakes. that is what makes all of us the same but different. i hope that she knows that there are some of us out there that knows she just made an oops.

It's shows like TMZ that create a lot of the problem. Like a lot of people are saying people make mistakes she apologized not once but twice even if the words were written by publicist. That is what they are paid to do. It's done and over and she should not deserve to be discarded like an old paper bag. I wonder if everyone boycotted the Food Network and it's rating bottomed how fast would they change their mind...but then again Paula should start her own program like Rachel Ray has done. I think she would have a following and everyone would enjoy it. Hey Boys time to help your Mom! Common Bobbie and Jamie.

The issue isn't if she's sorry or about what she said in the past, this is about what her brother did that brought attention to her own behavior and her brother's behavior which was beyond disrespectful, hence the lawsuit. I LOVE Paula Deen, I watch her shows and have a cookbook, but even I can understand the issue - these are just consequences to a poor choice of words, and idea for a wedding. Sooner or later, you will pay for the things you do and for the things you say. You reap what you sow. And even though a person is sorry and recieves forgiveness, it doesn't mean you won't have the just consequences. WAY too many people trying to get away with hurting others and not wanting to pay for it. It's sad but true. If someone hurt you or a loved one, don't tell me you wouldn't want justice. You don't want a personal experience to test if you're being a hypocrite.

There is so many nationalities in this country and none of them cry about anything except blacks. why is that?? If you dont like it here go back to Africa and pick flies off your head and see which is worse.
