Chris Brown

Probation Revoked

That was quick -- the judge just REVOKED Chris Brown's probation in the Rihanna beating case, but the singer will remain a free man ... for now.

Brown showed up at court today to fight the L.A. County D.A.'s motion to revoke his probation in the wake of hit-and-run charges stemming from a car accident in May ... but the judge granted the motion anyway, paving the way for a probation violation hearing in August.

If the judge determines Chris violated his probation, the singer could be sentenced to 4 years in prison.

In the meantime, Brown has been released on his own recognizance.

He was just lucky it was George Zimmerman's night off the night he beat up his so-called girlfriend.

I'm saying that George would've executed some street justice (within the confines of the law, of course).

Admittedly, George doesn't live anywhere near where the crime took place.

TMZ reported Olga was terrified of him, he was very angry after the accident & called her a bitch... Now she's testifying on his behalf? I smell PAYOFF...

So what? We all know he's NOT going to jail. The worst that will happen to him is his probation will get extended. Thats it.

I'm surprised it hasn't been revoked long ago. With ordinary mortals, judges are usually serious about the "break no laws" rule for anybody on probation. Even traffic violations can trigger it, and this is more serious. Granting probation is a gift, to let the person show they're no longer a scofflaw and can stay on the straight and narrow. Brown keeps proving he is a menace. He's on probation for a violent felony (he nearly killed his girlfriend), which should make a judge especially willing to toss him in jail for the rest of his probation. The probation judge does not have to wait for a conviction. Even if he gets the usual celebrity treatment, maybe this will help convince him that he has to stay out if trouble while on probation. He really doesn't seem to understand how lucky he's been and how bad the odds are for him. With his anger problem and feeling of invulnerability, he's likely to waste a lot of his life in prison eventually.

YES! Put him away. These celebrities that think they're above the law ought to pay for their actions! And to think his ex Rhiana is playing a part in his sentence...epic!

But he's in celebrity court. Which means celebrity justice. They don't punish people with money.

Why do high profile people continue to hire Mark Geragos? His "win" record on court cases is not very good!
