Leah Remini

Still Alive

8/12/2013 1:42 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Famed ex-Scientologist Leah Remini was photographed on Friday, looking alive and well after she turned her back on the Church.

You'll recall, Remini left Scientology recently, then turned around and slapped the Church in the face by filing a missing persons report regarding the bizarre disappearance of Shelly Miscavige, the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige. The Church was not happy.

It's been a few days since the pic was taken, but as far as we know, she is still breathing.

If you ask the ShamWow guy, she might want to lay low for a while, maybe find herself a safe house, or a relative close by.

Good for her. I couldn't understand why she was in this cult to begin with. She seems too independent minded to fall for it in the first place. At least she woke up and saw what she was doing. She should look out for people in there. The more people who call this group out, the safer they all will be.

The lady is probably being held against her will. She probably even has no will left and just does what she is told. People don't understand cults. They think everything is fine without looking under the surface.

Leah seems like an outspoken person. I hope she tells all on this pack of weirdos. That would be cool. They are taking advantage of people looking for fame and fortune. They might even be considered a terrorist organization with all of the death threats for people who go against them.

Maybe this is why she was kicked off The Talk also. Maybe it was payback for making waves in Scientology. You never know.

GOOD for Leah! Betcha she wishes she had done this millions of dollars ago! Scientology is a CULT and I am floored at the people who stay in this so called "church"! NUTS!

Leah was just jogging over to try to find Shelly Miscavige and have a chat. Shelly may not be missing but she has still has effectively been "disappeared" by her adoring little husband, David Miscavige.

I'm glad she broke away from a "religion" written by a science fiction writer. Regardless of what anyone else says, that reason alone is the one that makes me question scientology.

I left Scientology for the church of sanity.
