LeBron James

Police Escort to Jay Z Concert

No Big Deal

The Miami-Dade Police Dept. is pooh-poohing criticism that it crossed the thin blue line last Friday by giving LeBron James a police escort to the Jay Z concert.

Dept. officials tell TMZ ... the officer who escorted LeBron has received "informal counseling" but that's it.   LeBron bragged on his Instagram video that traffic was at a crawl as he followed the police car with lights ablaze down the wrong way of the street.

As we reported ... Jay Z had announced he would not start the show until LeBron arrived.

Why stop at the Police Department? Celebrities should also be able to abuse The Fire Department and Ambulance for there Personal Escorts.

The Truth

It is being reported that 3 medical emergency calls were delayed due to the special treatment Lebron was given.

The actual 911 calls and response times and locations were leaked to the media and now the Police department is trying to spin it without directly acknowledging it.

It appears that a regular tax payer's life is not as important as Lebron and Jayz

FUT THE SHUCK UP

This is a flagrant abuse of the authority that our tax dollars pay for and I am disgusted at the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Yeah, "no big deal"... Just because they went down the wrong side of the street, against traffic, risking lives and property, it's "no big deal". What a POS.

Way to go and getting someone disciplined or fired LeBron. What a D&%#face. I'm sure you'll sleep like a log while his children have to go to a pantry and beg for food.

who cares ??? ..... i like my tax dollars staying in my pocket, not being spent on rich people getting royal treatment because they decide to be late and their limo can't break the law as easy as the police can ..... a crime ..... james do right and write a check for the cost .... miami fire the decision makers

I hate to see anyone lose their job, but this is totally inappropriate. This is not what the police are supposed to be doing with their time.

All on tax payer money. I am not surprised MDPD isn't doing anything about. Corrupt beyond fixing.

No big deal? Ask the tax-payers who footed the bill for this how they feel. Informal counseling? Does that mean his wrist was slapped with a wet noodle? If even one person died at the time this occurred, I sure hope the family members sue the hell out of Miami-Dade PD. This wasn't a presidential motorcade, I don't give a furry rats a$$ who said they wouldn't start a concert until James showed up. BFD, it wasn't a matter of life and death.

Sounds like it was a calm evening and the police had things under control. No major disasters occured during those few minutes. Thank goodness!!
