'Saw' Star Betsy Russell

You'd Cut Off Your Arm ...

To Buy THIS Mobile Home

8/28/2013 12:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0827_betsey_russell_malibu_beach_house_launch This might be the fanciest trailer park in the world ... "Saw" star Betsy Russell is trying to unload her Malibu mobile home for just under $2 MILLION. Yes, we said MOBILE home.

Betsy -- who played Jigsaw's hot ex-wife in all 372 "Saw" flicks -- listed the property with realtor / Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing" star Madison Hildebrand a few weeks ago for $1,999,999.

It's like no mobile home we've ever seen ... 2,400 square feet, 4 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, marble counter tops, stainless steel appliances, outdoor fire pit and a patio overlooking the ocean.

Then there's the location ... the mobile home park is considered one of the most luxurious in CA -- 24/7 security, pool, spa, sauna, tennis courts ... and crazy views of the Malibu coastline. It's ridiculous.

Who knew?

it may look like a mobile home but it isnt. it was made to look like one so it could probably pass rules to get into that trailer park and who wouldnt do it to have a view like that??

It's a nice looking place, but it's still only a cardboard box parked on a piece of someone else's rented space.

Perhaps I shouldn't be, but it is surprising how rude or narrow minded some of these comments are!

Jealousy? Lack of good manners?

That said, TMZ is guilty too, a trailer is something you drag behind a truck, you couldn't move Russell's home if you tried! There is nothing 'mobile' about her home.

For intelligent commentary on this, see MHLivingNews (google that, to get the web address), they have an interesting write up.

Hello! Does anyone want to know the FACTS anymore, or is it all about knee-jerk opinion?

Before you call this a 'trailer' or 'mobile home,' better read this:

Stop and think people. That cell phone you have came from a factory. The clothes on your back, came from a factory.

The car in your drive way wasn't built there, it was built in a factory. Factory home building is the future! That's why billionaires like Buffett and Zell are in the manufactured home business.

As to the price, there are lots of factors, one being the location but the other being that it is super-customized. Any time you build 'one' of something instead of 10,000 or 10,000,000 it will cost more.

I've owned both houses (regular) and nice manufactured homes (not old 'mobile homes.' The manufactured homes are the run-away better value.

Calling modern "MANUFACTURED" homes - not mobile homes - trailers or the sprawling beautiful communities in which they reside "trailer parks" is like calling a Formula 1 race car a "horseless carriage." The ignorance and bigotry in the article and subsequent comments is truly appalling.
