'Fast and Furious 7'

Critical Paul Walker Scenes

Were Days From Filming

The new "Fast and Furious" movie was scheduled to shoot key scenes with Paul Walker this week -- and on the heels of his death, several members of the cast and crew say they won't be returning to the set anytime soon ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the production tell us most of the actors and crew were supposed to fly to Atlanta this weekend to resume filming on Tuesday ... but they're all expecting a halt in production.

Universal -- the studio behind the movie -- hasn't announced when, or if, they'll start shooting again ... but we're told some of the main stars are too distraught to work anyway.

According to our sources ... most of this week's scenes centered around Paul, so even if Universal were to go forward ... it would need major rewrites.

Ultimately, the biggest hurdle to completing 'FF7' could be the emotions of the actors. As one source put it, "No one wants to even think about the movie. Period."

We contacted Universal for comment ... no word back yet.

The franchise is huge, they will finish it sooner or later, if nothing more to do something in his memory. TMZ will fill us with hourly nonsense post for a week no doubt.

RIP Paul Walker and prayers for his 15 year old daughter who just lost her dad.

See kids? A car is NOT a toy. And hey, Universal, get Ashton kutcher to play Walker's role.

Too often deaths are untimely and inconvenient. "Here one minute and gone the next." Keep in touch with those you care for.

RIP Paul.

So you mean the cast that glorified street racing and is directly responsible for many young people going out in over-powered cars they could not control due to lack of experiance and training and then crashing them....is upset because their friend got killed trying to go too fast in an over-powered car his friend could not control due to speed and lack of training....and died......hrmmm

Write this into the picture and make it a tribute film.

Have Vin Diesel figure it out - he'll know the right way.

interesting, sheriff's dept. did not confirm walker was the passenger. publicist trying to save face so we don't think walker was the jackass in the accident? typical. will be interesting to see if sheriff's dept. doesn't get paid off to agree. i think F&F movies need to stop anyway, we don't need anymore sheeet movies

Not yours, dude - not your show.

That apparently stopped a long time ago.

Bad reviews, no doubt...

Either they rewrite or recast. Since his character is so integrated into the story, a rewrite may not be feasible. And they'll just have to recast, like with "Spartacus" series. An avoidance of a "Shark Jump" may not be possible.
