'Wheel Of Fortune'

We Feel TERRIBLE About Last Night's 'Fast & Furious' Puzzle

File this one under: OOOPS.

"Wheel of Fortune" aired an episode last night that featured a puzzle with the answer "The Fast and the Furious" ... just days after Paul Walker died ... and now the show is in full spin mode.

During the show, producers ran a crawl on the top of the screen that read, "This episode was taped a few weeks ago, prior to the tragic passing of 'The Fast and the Furious' actor Paul Walker."

After the show aired, Pat Sajak tweeted, "Feel terrible about timing of 'Fast & Furious' puzzle tonight. Taped long ago & went out to 200 local stations days ago."

Still, it's unclear why producers didn't simply pull the episode to run at a later date.

So we should all feel bad if we say the name of a movie that Paul Walker was in for a few weeks? Come the **** on.

I rarely watch the show and actually saw this one. For a second, I thought wow, that was bad timing, but then I got on with my life and didn't give it a second thought.

Oh come on! How else is he gonna be remembered if we don't talk about him, watch his movies and commercials, and keep up his charity works? He didn't die in vain, so don't make him disappear!

Pull it for what??? REALLY??
C'mon people, it's a movie title and just b/c one of it stars died doesn't mean that the movie title dies too. I can think of a hundred more things that would be more offensive.

This world is too sensitive if this is really an issue.

As tragic as the accident was, the world don't stop because people die. Television shows are scheduled weeks in advance. In fact, Bravo was airing one of the Fast & Furious movies about the time the accident was being reported, stuff happens.

Big deal! We live in such sensitive world nowadays. They didnt need to apologize to anyone. I have feeling Paul was smiling when he watched up there!

This is such a non-story. It's a movie title. Why are they apologizing?

Bad timing? I'd call it unique timing, TMZ. Why postpone the episode?

Feel very bad Paul Walker & his buddy died, but should not have been racing a race car on a public street. Thankfully nobody innocent was killed.

The reason producers didn't "pull the episode and air it at a later date" is because the shows are taped and then aired in order.
And really, TMZ, haven't we had enough of your breathless wall to wall coverage? It's sad that a man has lost his son, and even sadder than that a young daughter has lost her father. But both men were the author of their own misfortune. They were selfish and irresponsable in their behaviour and the only saving grace is that they didn't kill someone else.

It was an accident of bad timing, not intentional...
