Paul Walker will be remembered by thousands of auto enthusiasts this weekend with a huge, noisy car rally ... but TMZ has learned law enforcement will be out in force ... gunning for any reckless drivers.

The car meet is scheduled to begin at noon on Hercules Street ... near the spot where Walker and Roger Rodas died in the fiery crash of their Porsche Carrera GT last weekend.

More than 20,000 people are expected to show up -- that's a lot of vehicles. City officials are urging locals to avoid the area altogether.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they'll be ready for trouble, too ... with a highly visible police presence to make sure the event goes off safely.

We're told ... anyone caught doing burnouts or driving recklessly will be cited ... and could have their car impounded on the spot.

Are you done shamelessly exploiting his death for traffic?

Well my friends, we all digress in this moment and remember the excitement that fast and the furious 1 brought us. While no one actually wanted to drive recklessly, we did want to feel the exuberation of the tires spinning and the turbos thrusting. All the while knowing that we were running is a relatively safe space. Our friend Paul wanted to experience the same thing with the short ride with the Porsche GT. Only he was unaware how delicate this car was and how a simple joyride could be his end. We all live for the excitement of life, just sometimes these rides can be more than life can handle. While I appreciate their lust for the thrill, I wish they or he had chosen a safer place such as I5. There is no do over unfortunately. There is no practice run..... There is a void left where the masses were connected to. Live on and free our brother Paul Walker who taught us to enjoy the moment and go for the win. Much love for the strong life spirit!

I understand people are shocked with Paul Walker's death and want to express grief and all, but at the end of the day, his death was no act of heroism, it was an accident . Why glorify acts of immaturity by an 40 year old that behaved like a 22, with a 16 years old kid at home ? Instead of people learning from this tragic experience, many will find it "cool" participate at race cars.

A car rally when the guy dies from speeding on city streets? Thats obscene. That would be like a gun rally in memory of Sandy Hook

Obviously Paul's death was in vain, these 'geniuses' didn't learn anything from it.

I personally think a SAFE (no racing, no acting like idiots) is a perfect way to remember Paul. Cars were a huge part of Paul's life, not only on screen but in his personal life as well. He was a car enthusiast. Sounds like a perfect way to remember him to me.

There are 2 private schools on that street and some kids take Kelly Johnson to get to and from Valencia High School. This could be very dangerous.
