'Top Chef' Winner

Cuts Deal

In Matzoh Ball Lawsuit

2/27/2014 12:20 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Celebrity chef Ilan Hall -- the former "Top Chef" winner -- has just thrown in the dish towel in a lawsuit that accused him of fenneling money from investors.

Hall was sued for taking $37,500 from money men to help in the operation of his restaurant, The Gorbals in downtown L.A.  And, fun fact ... it's known for bacon-wrapped matzoh balls.

But the investors claim Hall was as unkosher as his meals and pocketed the cash.

We just learned -- in a rosh to judgment -- the case settled for $25K.

His whole restaurant concept sounds very bad. I don't know who would go out to eat just to order that burnt up looking skinny little egg toast. Then the name sounds like Goerbbels, the Nazi propaganda leader. That is going to turn off Jews from eating there. Then when the Nazis find out that the chef is Jewish, they won't want to eat there.

Who really wants Jewish food mixed with pork? No wonder this place needs to borrow money to stay in operation. Than he steals the money? He sounds like maybe he is taken over by a Nazi demon or something.
He looks kind of like a zombie in a very conventional way. I think he is kind of weird.
