Taylor Swift Sued

Fast Cars & Dangerous Men

Got Me In Trouble

Taylor Swift is a hell-raisin', fast-drivin' bad girl -- at least in the eyes of a clothing company that's suing her for allegedly ripping off its brand to sell her own merchandise.

TMZ obtained a copy of the lawsuit filed by Lucky 13 owner Robert Kloetzly ... and in the suit he accuses Swift of intentionally jacking his biz. Kloetzly says he's been marketing clothes and accessories to a young rock 'n roll crowd for 20 years, but now Swift is slapping "Lucky 13" on her own clothing line.

The allegation is ... Taylor is confusing the marketplace. In the docs, Kloetzly describes her as a tatted up singer who likes "fast cars and dangerous men who drive them inappropriately" -- and adds that's the same demo his company targets.

In the suit, Kloetzly goes on to claim Taylor's music video for "I Knew You Were Trouble" could be an ad for his Lucky 13 ... because it "depicts stylish, attractive, tattooed individuals in provocative situations."

Kloetzly wants Taylor's merchandising site shut down. He also wants all the profits she's made so far ... or the damages to his company -- whichever is greater.

They are both brands. If Lucky 13 made shirts that said Taylor Swift, it would be the same deal. It's about branding in a specific market. They don't own the word "Lucky" or the number "13", but as a lifestyle t-shirt brand, it is theirs to defend.
I don't care how much you like T.Swift, I do too, but deal with it.

Has this Bozo ever seen Taylor Swift? Because she is about as dangerous and exciting as a glass of low fat milk...white and bland.

I actually had to read this article twice because I thought they were referring to some other, breathing, Taylor Swift.

More likely they'll stop printing the shirt. It's a shirt to go with her song 'the lucky one' and she's been painting a 13 on everything her entire career. No one is confusing anything related to Taylor Swift with lucky 13 clothing. And if you are, you're a moron.

Getting her site shut down, not gonna happen, EVER. Now getting the shirt pulled, very likely.

All her profits, HA, NEVER EVER(in taylor voice)
A percent of the that specific shirt, possibly.

More then likely this will be settle out of court by pulling the shirt and possibly a small check to that company(That I had never heard of).

Wait, Burt Jansch released an album called Lucky 13. and HE was a musician too. omg!omg! Like it's such a tooootal rip, fer sure. pfffft. People you chose a popular term and try to market with it....too bad. You don't own popular terms and words. Remember Madonna trying to copyright "Madonna"? Or Paris with "that's hot"? Wait, wait wait, she had people with tattoos in her video even! omg!omg!

Does anyone on the planet think either one of them invented the idea of "Lucky 13"?
