Ludacris

Leaves Without Daughter

Epic Fight with Delta

Ludacris Leaves Daughter Airport

Ludacris landed in Atlanta Monday morning and left one item at the airport ... his 13-year-old daughter ... but Luda says Delta royally screwed up.

Sources tell TMZ ... the two were flying together from LAX to Atlanta, where his daughter Karma was going to catch a connecting flight to NYC solo. Turns out there was a 4-hour layover. Ludacris left his daughter in the first class lounge.

The problem ... Luda's daughter is not allowed to fly without an adult, because she's under 15, so Delta would not let her on the flight.

We're told Delta called Ludacris and informed him the airline would provide adult supervision if he paid a $100 fee, but the rapper refused. So he came back to the airport, picked up his daughter and they went home.

A rep for Ludacris tells TMZ ... Luda booked the flight himself -- a first class ticket -- and was told there would only be a 1 1/2 hour layover. Luda claims he was told when he bought the ticket the only requirement was that an adult needed to be present in NYC when the plane landed -- Karma's mom.

Luda was shocked and angry when Delta changed the rules.

You can buy a $500 dollar bottle of champagne but you can't spend $100 dollars to make sure your daughter gets from point A to point B safely. .WOW!!!!

As a former child, whose parent used to work for Delta before 9/11, me and my sister used to fly to Texas every weekend to visit my dad. Flight attendants did watch out for us on the flight but even when I speak about these past trips to my mom, she never spoke of paying $100 for a flight attendant to watch us. Not sure if it was because she was an employee for delta but airlines today LOVE to charge a fee for anything. Also, delta is responsible for letting people know BEFORE buying a ticket that there will be an additional charge for anyone underage flying solo. I don't think Luda would've been pissed if he knew this before buying a ticket, rich or not.

Delta didn't change anything, that is the industry standard for flying minors!

I work for Delta. The rule ALWAYS has been that children under 15 are NOT allowed to board without an adult (or pay the $100 fee to have a Delta employee escort them). It's printed out on the website.
