TMZ has learned ... KK (real name Barbie Blank) was on her way to a bikini calender photo shoot last month when the tire on her Mitsubishi blew out.

But instead of whining like a helpless little girl, Kelly grabbed a tire iron and changed the damn thing herself ... refusing to deny the public the chance to see her in revealing swimwear.
