Wesley Snipes knows how to fight ... he's a VERY accomplished martial artist -- so what's his one main tip if you ever get in a scrap on the street???

Snipes was leaving Xi'an restaurant in Beverly Hills ... when he told us it's always better to yell like a maniac in a potentially violent situation (we're guessing the strategy is to scare the other guy away).

Bonus -- if you recognize the guy in the clip with Snipes, it's because he's BOB WALL -- who played Bruce Lee's nemesis in several Kung Fu flicks back in the day ... including "Enter the Dragon."

He's also a 9th degree black belt ... so, if he ever confronts you on the street -- SCREAM!!
