Philippe Chow Restaurant -- We Love Black People, Including Mavado
Philippe Chow Restaurant We Love Black People Including Mavado
Philippe Chow restaurant has finally responded to Reggae star Mavado's claim that he was treated like crap because he's black ... the restaurant's response ... they happily cater to lots of black people all the time.
TMZ broke the story ... Mavado and his family dined at the NYC restaurant last Thursday and were treated like second class citizens ... shuttled to the back of the restaurant, ordered not to take pictures, abused by their waiter and told never to come back, but after he left and they realized he was a star, they begged for forgiveness.
Now the eatery says, "Philippe Restaurant is proud to have an excellent relationship with all our customers, especially the black community and people of color," adding, "on a weekly basis we have famous and non-famous black people ..."
Here's the best part. Philippe Chow says photos don't lie ... "Don't just listen to us, visit our Instagram and see for yourself."
The restaurant disputes the claims of rudeness, but says if that's the impression that was left with Mavado they apologize.
