Harlem Globetrotters -- Female Player Sues Team ... 'I'm Not a Slut'
Harlem Globetrotters Female Player Sues Team 'I'm Not a Slut'
The Harlem Globetrotters are being sued by a former female player -- who claims she was repeatedly sexually harassed by the coach and then 86'd when she got pregnant ... TMZ Sports has learned.
The woman behind the suit is Tammy Brawner -- who played for the Globetrotters from 2012 to April 2015 ... and happens to be romantically involved with "Family Matters" star Darius McCrary (Eddie Winslow!).
In her suit, Brawner claims she's the target of a campaign of sexual harassment carried out by the coach Jimmy Blacklock ... who would call her his girlfriend, imply she was having sex with teammates and warned players to stay away from her because "she was a seductress who would ruin their marriages."
Brawner says she confronted Blacklock and asked him to stop -- but he responded by telling her he didn't know her well enough to know she WASN'T a slut, adulterer and homewrecker.
Brawner says she complained to the team's GM -- but nothing was really done.
There's more ... Brawner says she got pregnant in mid-April 2015 and took medical leave. But a short time after she returned to the team, she was let go ... and Brawner believes the move was, in part, retaliation for her sexual harassment complaint.
She's suing for unspecified damages.
The Globetrotters just issued a statement DENYING the allegations -- saying, "We have a 90-year track record for being among the most progressive organizations in sports, and we're proud of that. We look forward to the opportunity to defend ourselves against this claim in court."
