'Dr. Phil' Show Crew Calls 911 After Suicide Scare
Cops raced to the "Dr. Phil" show Tuesday after a guest acted like she might take the audience up on their advice ... that she should go kill herself.
Law enforcement tells us the guest -- a woman in her thirties -- was talking about her criminal past and bemoaning the fact that her children were taken away. We're told the audience turned on her, and it got so intense someone yelled, "Why don't you just kill yourself?"
We're told the guest unraveled and replied, "Maybe I will." Show producers were alarmed enough that they called the cops.
When cops arrived, a producer was pushing for a 5150 psych hold. The LAPD brought out its mental health evaluation team and determined the woman didn't pose a real threat to herself.
The woman left on her own.
