Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine Getting Gigs at Apple as Part of Beats Deal

Move over Tim Cook ... Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine are coming to Apple.

As part of the massive deal that has Apple buying Beats Headphones for a reported $3.2 billion, Dre and Iovine "are likely to take senior positions" at Apple, so reports the Wall Street Journal.

The WSJ goes on to say its unclear what type of roles the men would have. The buzz we're hearing ... Dre will report directly to Cook.

Once the deal is complete, Dre stands to become the first billionaire in rap ... well, before taxes.

Kanye West Returns from Twitter Hiatus to Honor Steve Jobs

Kanye West made a triumphant return to Twitter yesterday and did something very out of character for him ... pay his respects to someone else's accomplishments.

The rapper -- who made a dramatic exit from the site Thursday and deleted ALL his previous tweets -- came back a day later to honor the legacy of Apple founder Steve Jobs, who passed away one year ago.

Kanye compared Jobs' influence to three other famous people, tweeting, "He is one of the most inspiring and influential human beings of our existence along with Michael Jackson, Walt Disney and Dr. King."

So we gotta ask ...

In his resignation letter, Jobs said, the day finally came when he could no longer perform his duties.
