Jay Johnston -- best known for the animated sitcom "Bob's Burgers" -- is pleading guilty to his involvement in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol attack.

The comedian entered his plea Monday to a single count of obstructing officers during a civil disorder.

He's set to be sentenced in October and faces up to 5 years in federal prison -- a fate shared by over 540 Capitol rioters, so far.

Alec Baldwin is about to stand trial for the fatal shooting on the "Rust" movie set ... and he's already in New Mexico for a pretrial hearing.

Check out these first images of Alec in court Monday at the Santa Fe County District Courthouse ... he's in a suit and tie with thick black glasses and has his arms folded over his chest as he sits with his defense team.

Alec seems pretty aware of the camera -- the trial will be live streamed -- and at one point he leans over to one of his attorneys and whispers something in his ear.

Karen Read may be tried again for the death of her boyfriend after the judge declared a mistrial, but murder charges may not be on the table ... because according to the defense, the vote on the murder charge was 12 - 0, IN FAVOR OF ACQUITTAL!

Read's lawyer, Alan Jackson, has just filed docs arguing prosecuting Read for 2nd-degree murder a second time would amount to double jeopardy. Shockingly, when the judge declared the mistrial, she didn't say anything about the jury's vote on the murder charge.

We've also learned the jury was unanimous in favor of acquittal on the charge of leaving the scene of an accident where there was injury or death. The only charge on which the jury was deadlocked was vehicular manslaughter, where the jury apparently voted 9 - 3 in favor of guilt.

According to prosecutors, Kohberger first killed Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen on the third floor of the house, then went downstairs and killed Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. He then allegedly encountered one of the 2 survivors in the house but didn't harm her, and then he left.

Rick Springfield is dealing with an unwanted pest ... cops say an overzealous female fan made her way onto his property on more than one occasion.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... a woman in her 40s was determined to meet the rock legend, showing up at his Los Angeles-area home twice in the last week. We're told the fan talked her way into Rick's gated community ... telling security she was his maid.

Trey Parker's ex-wife, Boogie Parker, is the latest victim in a string of burglaries hitting L.A.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... two burglars broke into Boogie's home, where she lives with her and Trey's daughter Betty, just before 9 PM last month -- with the scary situation caught on their alarm company's camera.

The LAPD rushed to the scene along with armed security to search the home.

A not-so-funny situation for Marlon Wayans and his famously comedic family -- cops say his L.A.-area crib is the latest target of burglars.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Marlon wasn't home, but his brother Keenen Ivory Wayans was around 2:30 AM last Saturday when 2 brazen thieves hit the house.

New documents obtained by TMZ show ... Whitney's arrest was ordered Tuesday by a Floyd County, GA judge who found her in contempt of court over failing to pay her ordered child support.

We've learned Whitney has since been booked and is currently in custody -- where she has been ordered to serve 48 hours in jail.

TMZ's obtained her trademark filing for "Hawk Tuah" in which Welch is asking for trademarks in two fields -- one for apparel like hats and shirts and another for entertainment services ... namely, comedy podcasts and live comedy shows.

Welch filed for the trademark under her new company, 16 Minutes, LLC -- a clever play on Hailey looking to extend her 15 minutes into lasting fame ... not the first sign she's trying to do so, as you know.

Kanye West created an app to promote his rap music, fostering a racist environment with brutal work conditions – while his wife, Bianca Censori, sent porn videos to staff which were accessible by minors, according to a new lawsuit.

The bombshell suit, filed in a U.S. District Court, named Ye and his former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, as defendants.

The suit alleges Kanye and co. engaged in "forced labor and cruel inhuman, or degrading treatment."
