TMZ has learned that rocker Scott Weiland has been arrested, again, for DUI. Shocker, we know.
The Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer was driving on an L.A. highway around 6:15 PM on November 21 when he crashed his car. While the California Highway Patrol was investigating the non-injury wreck, they noticed Weiland appeared to be impaired. (Um ... ya think?) According to the police report, Weiland failed sobriety tests and refused to take a blood or urine test. He was booked for "driving under the influence of a drug. "
He was released on $40,000 bail and will be back in court on December 13.
Weiland is no stranger to run-ins with the law. He was busted for buying crack in 1995, domestic violence in 2001, DUI on his birthday in 2003, and as TMZ first reported, allegedly trashed a hotel room while brawling with his wife. His wife later issued a statement saying her hubby was "simply trying to help calm me down."
A rep for Weiland said in a statement that the signer was involved in a "minor accident," but denies he was driving under the influence. "Scott was not driving under the influence of a drug, legal or illegal," Kristine Ashton-Magnuson said. "He voluntarily took a breathalyzer test which the defense believes registers well within the legal limit. He is anxious to get to court ... and clear this matter up."

Who? Scott Weiland has one of the best rock voices of all time. Frontman for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvit Revolver. In his day he was one of the sexiest men in music and named in many publications as one of the sexiest. But years of drugs and booze and anorexia has taken its toll. This is just a bad picture.
Takes a lot to make Axl Rose look saintly...but Weiland is about to manage it. Guessing Slash and Co. are saying some choice words about now.
This makes me sad. He was doing really well with his vices for a minute.
As for all you kiddies who are knocking his looks, Scott Weiland is a sexy, sexy man when he's sober. At least he was before the permanent drug mug set in. Sucks.
Yeah, this guy's been around for a while...he's been on and off the junk and who knows what else for YEARS...amongst one of the more infamous stories about this guy is that he was one of Courtney Love's "drug" buddies...And this a few years back when he was going to do some serious time for drugs, she came out in his defense calling anybody who would listen in hopes of keeping him out of jail--and after the story that he was "holed" up in a hotel for days on a "binge," he finally admitted that he was "holed" up with none other than...Courtney...SURPRISE!
