Joanna hands down is the better version and wtf ? is up with britney taking other peoples music wow I thought things had changed I guess not
I feel bad for Brit! The tabloids are part of the reason of why she turned out the way she did. But that is the life she wanted. The entertainment world. As far as the song goes... Joanna knocked it out of the park. She is beautiful and seems like a very sweet and honest girl. Cant wait to see what happens on American Idol. Her audition was great... not perfect. But that is what the show is about, making these contestants the best they can be. If she were perfect, she would not need to go on the show. I wish her and all of the other contestants luck may the best talent win!
Again, these shows are for entertainment purposes.... and Contraversy..... it wouldnt be a hit show without any of it.
I've never seen so much rubbish written by people who obviously regard themselves as ever-so-smart and ever-so-cool. If you actually take the trouble to listen to Britney's vocals on good quality headphones, you'd soon discover that all the stuff about being "processed", "synthetic" etc. is just ignorant and ill-informed. Then there was the nonsense about what would happen if Britney sang the song a capella. My friend.... she DID sing it a capella. When she works with Guy Sigsworth she sends him her vocal track and all he does is add some atmospherics.
To say that Joanne's version is better is just to show your prejudice. Her version is weak and amateurish.
I like Britney's version so much better. "Out from under" is my favorite song on Britney's album "Circus". I did not know it was a cover until tonight...but after hearing both version's i like britney's better..the music in the back round (the other girl's is dull) & britney doesnot seem to be strayning her voice like the other girl.
I also though american idol was for new comers not people who have been on TV previosuly or had a record deal. The show is about finding new talent now people who have already been discovered ( because even if you are not famous but have a record deal you have been discovered). Well i guess not...
It's show business, so it's all an illusion. First of all, it's a great song. It sounds good both ways. I hear voice processing in both versions. I never knew there was another version either. I really like that one too. Even though Britney's voice gets some help, I'm sure she would sound better singing without "help" than most of you people ripping on her. She seems to be doing pretty well now and she looked awesome in the Womanizer video.
Go Joanna!!! She lives on my sister's block................they are the nicest neighbors! She is very talented and I hope that she gets the recognition she deserves as it could not happen to a nicer girl.
Why is someone on American Idol that has a song on a movie soundtrack that Britney Spears would cover anyway? Isn't that show suppose to be about "undiscovered talent"?
It amazes me at how many of you are idiots. You don't like Britney so you insult her and her music. She does sing in fact, that's why has a recording contract morons. Plus, if you have actually seen her perform live, you can hear her sing. Shut up if you don't know what your talking about.
Oh, also, she does write some of her own music. But you idiots wouldn't know that. Your too busy falsely accusing.
Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
