Cleveland Pulls LeBron Jerseys from Team Shop

7/9/2010 12:45 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The Cleveland Cavaliers are so pissed off at LeBron James -- that they won't even let their fans buy his old jersey ... and have officially pulled the items from all team stores  ... including their online shop.

So what will happen to all the old #23 gear?? Sources inside the Cavaliers organization tell us they'll probably end up at a discount retail store ... "somewhere like T.J.Maxx."

I don't live in Ohio and I'm not a football fan but I think many of you are missing the whole point here. The thing that is most unforgivable here is not that Lebron went to Miami. What put the knife in the heart of Cleveland is they had to find out about it on live TV. In what world would a person not have the compassion and courtesy to let his hometown family, fans, and friends know first that their world was going to come crashing down. He should be ashamed!

For those complaining about the way he announced his leaving, didn't all the sponsor money go for Cleveland's Boys & Girl's ranch????? Get over yourselves Cleveland. The Cavs suck and if you were in his shoes, you'd leave too. Cleveland is making a laughing stock of themselves. bahahahhahahahahhahaha The only good thing about Cleveland is the new show "Hot in Cleveland".

What is passion to you? What is courtesy to you? Lebron was loyal to Cleveland for 7 years. He respected you all and has the right to announce who he is going to play for because his contract is up. Who do Cleveland Ohio think they are that he has to tell them in private and not on TV. Who gave you the right to say he owes you or the city of Cleveland respect? You and the City of Cleveland disrespected him in public with your words and actions. Who is going to go to Cleveland now? The answer is no one from the NBA that plays good ball. After you play for them for years and your contract is up, they will spit in your face and burn your jersey. The city of Cleveland has burned their bridges in the NBA. The city of Cleveland are SELFISH AND 1964 WILL ALWAYS BE IN THEIR HISTORY. YA! SHOULDN'T OF NEVER MESS WITH MY FAN LEBRON.

I agree with post #32 to a point, although we are talking about basketball not football. He had a right to choose whatever team he wanted, but the way he did it was cruel to his loyal fans. I'm not a big LeBron fan at all, but teams trade players at will for what they say is for the best of the team and they just haven't given him the backup players to make them a great team. So as a free agaent, why not try another team that may bring a ring?

LeBron did exactly what he was supposed to do...LOOK OUT FOR HIMSELF AND BE HAPPY. At the end of the day it's business, after 7 years the Cavs weren't able to build a team strong enough to help win a championship. Anybody else in his shoes would have done the same. The owner of the Cavs threw the biggest tantrum. Who does that!?! There is total B****A**NESS going around from all the people that didn't get what they wanted. GROW UP, IT'S BUSINESS.

Speaking as a Clevelander -
Lebron played for us for 7 seasons, and had every right to go to any team he wanted to play for - so I can't be mad at him for leaving town. What a lot of people are angry about, is the way he did it.

All this attention on a guy who's yet to win a championship. King James, will you please open your bathroom to the press? That way the reporters can all gather 'round the commode and record the words of wisdom that spew from your mouth even during your sh*t sessions (say that three times real fast).
