Beaten Spectators Sue Dodgers, Blame Divorce

9/8/2010 4:14 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The Los Angeles Dodgers are being sued by three spectators who claim the beating they suffered at Dodger Stadium was caused by the Frank/Jamie McCourt divorce.

Dodgers Lawsuit

According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ ... the men claim they were "severely beaten by unknown assailants" while attending a game in February.

The suit claims the McCourt divorce has caused budget cuts for "essential services such as security" -- thus exposing patrons to unreasonable risks.

The men want unspecified damages.

Morons. The judge should not only dismiss the suit, it should require these bozos to pay the Dodgers' legal bill.

On a related note, 3 men are also suing the Los Angeles Lakers for getting beaten up at Staples Center and not having security during August games. Fail of a story.

I'm sure Jamie McCourt will offer to sleep with the plaintiffs to drop the suit. But if they refuse, she'll sleep with them anyway.

There were two college baseball games played at Dodger Stadium on Feb. 28, 2010. Oklahoma State vs. Vanderbilt and USC vs. UCLA.

Still wondering why the McCourts would be responsible for security when it was the colleges that rented out the stadium and likely provided the security, not the Dodgers.

I'm assuming they went to the college games there in February and not a Dodgers game. So giving them the benefit of that doubt, the nimrods do get that one of the colleges if not both of them paid to "rent" Dodger Stadium and that the colleges would be the ones responsible for security, not the Dodgers or the owners of Dodger Stadium.

So if I get food poisoning at a local restaurant, and the building is owned by some really rich and successful couple, I guess this means that I can sue the really rich people. After all, they were dumb enough to rent to the restauranter who didn't take proper care in the handling of the food. Same sort of logic.

Can I sue the Dodgers for fielding a CRAPPY team for 21 Years running?

Next year, the stadium will again be packed, by people willing to shell out big bucks for field level seats, to watch a team that will almost certainly finish without another title.

Peter O'Malley is turning over in his grave.
