The cast of "Glee" apologized to Lindsay Lohan for mocking her during an episode last year ... TMZ has learned.
Lindsay was out at dinner in West Hollywood Sunday night when she ran into the cast (minus Jane Lynch and Lea Michele) ... and naturally, that episode -- mocking Lindsay's frequent trips to rehab -- came up .
Sources tell us the cast walked up to LiLo ... apologized for the jokes ... and said they didn't mean to hurt her feelings. Lindsay accepted their apology and everyone parted ways. 
Don't expect the same thing to happen if Lindsay bumps into Jay Leno. Or David Letterman. Or Jon Stewart. Or Jimmy Kimmel. Or ...

That's very nice to hear they did that, and it was scripted or anything. It probably made Lindsay feel good, nothing bad about that, it's all good.

Never watched glee before. If they mentioned LL it made LL relevent in 2010. LL should be grateful for the shout-out. Geez. . . so much tip toe-ing around this chick.

Lindsay doesn't need any body to kick her around. She does a good job of that with the poor decisions she makes for herself. Hollywood for dinner on a big red carpet night where she was obviously not invited to the festivities or the parties afterwards? That seems so desperate. Her mother's (sitting bull) tirade the other night right here on TMZ that said she will drink "very controlled" shines such a negative light on her. Wow Dina, way to back stab your own kid.

The problem here is that Glee did a special anti-bullying episode one week, and then proceeded to bully Lindsay the very next week, which made them look like a bunch of hypocrites. It's ironic that the character on Glee getting bullied was gay, and then they turn around and bully Lindsay, who just happens to be gay. (Although they did not bully Lindsay for being gay, admittedly. It's a little too ironic, still, if you ask me.)
Anyway, it was a case of bad/insensitive writing. I wouldn't hold any of the cast members responsible for that.
According to the reports I heard, Lindsay didn't even care about it. Dina was angry about it, not Lindsay. Lindsay did that skit with Chealsa Handler at the MVAs. Nobody has told meaner jokes in the past about Lindsay than Chealsa Handler.
Telling jokes about Lindsay is nothing new. I just wish Glee hadn't taken some moral high-ground/social commentary stance one minute, only to do something completely stupid to betray that very stance a few days later. Nobody told forced them to get up on their proverbial high-horse in the first place.

You're right don't expect the professional comedians to apologize to anyone, ever. Comedians have to be brutal and merciless, if that's their type of shtick.

Seriously why did they apologize? Oh right because Lindsay's dad made a big fuss about it in the tabloids saying it was disrespectful, oh and the fact that she tweeted about it...
Seriously if you don't want rehab jokes made about you in comedies then how about you do the right thing and not do drugs and get sent there.
Learn to face up to the **** you do in your life. Lindsay is irrelevant right now and the fact that Glee brought her up made people talk about her. She should be THANKING THEM not having them apologize to her.
