I used to watch your Frankie and Annette movies starting at the age of 5 those were some of the best years of my life and the memories of them will always be in my heart!!. Im truly sorry about the fire regarding your home Im glad all was not lost, I myself have experienced a fire, my apartmentg burned all the way down I lost everything except the clothes on my back in which I am gratreful for, so I feel your pain. I know some of the memorabilia you lost is eriplacable but at least you have your lives and that is a big plus. I know it sounds wierd but im a big believer in everything happens for a reason, althow at first were not exactly sure what that is but I asure you things will get better. again Im sorry for your loss and best wishes!!.

I have always loved Annette. I got to meet her when she came to New Orleans to be in the St. Joseph's Day parade. She was lovely and gracious and it was great to see her. Love and Best Wishes to you Annette. I will hold good thoughts for you and yours. A house can be replaced, you cannot.

I'm so sorry to here about the fire. I hope all her things will be o.k. She needs to everything around her of how much everyone loves her.
I hope she is doing o.k. with her M.S. I feel for her with her health. I have a brother with M.S. He has good and bad days. He could be in a wheelchair soon. He is now 58. Found out he had it when he was 41. We just found out my daughter of 38 has it.
Please Annette, hope you and everyone else is doing o.k. God be with you all. I think of you often.

I am very happy that she is OK. I haven't heard about those horrible movies that she made. Did they....happen to survive
the fire? We can only pray.

As a long time fan, and a youngster of the early 50's, I had a tremendous crush on Annette, so much so that I would rush home from school to watch the Mickey Mouse Club. I also saw you briefly in 1959, when I visited DisneyLand, at which time I lived in San Diego.

Annete please have a speedy recovery, and know that I miss you as well as your fans. God Bless....

Annette was so wonderful and brought me tons of wonderful memories...I pray she does well w/her MS and the damned medical industry moves it for a cure...Peole just don't deserve this stuff. Annette was such a wonderful person to look up to.

Why do all the worst things happen to all the really good people like Annette, and not to the really BAD people who REALLY deserve it?

Any updates to how Annette and her family are doing? The article did not mention how many people in total were inside the home when the fire occured. Hopefully everyone is ok.

The comments of "Rick" are more than impolite and politically incorrect. The hate is not wiped out by an "apology". Comments such as these reflect the attitude that has eaten away civility in our society.
Think you may have something against someone whose fame faded long ago; and who is now relegated to a wheelchair by a terrible disease? Post your comments immediately, accuracy be damned.
The only solace we may have is that Ms. Funicello will probably and hopefully never see any of these blogs.

I'm glad she is okay. It's so sad to see her waste away. She has always been the sweetest person. MS is such a terrible disease with no cure. Hope here memorabilia can be saved.
