He actually looks a bit better in that photo too. It is such a shame that the guy who brought us Braveheart and entertained people in the Mad Max and Lethal Weapon movies had to end up the way he has, looks gone, respect lost, marriage and career over and all it took was to stay on the bottle for most of his life.

One's looks "go" normally as one ages. Gibson has always been the real deal, and I don't think any fan who bothered to learn anything about him expects him to get face lifts. It's time as an actor for him to move on to "older" roles.

I doubt that his career is really over, but if it is, so what? He's at an age to retire. As to his marriage being over, that was his own choice, and as far as the public knows, he wanted and wants it that way.

As to respect, many of us respect him more than ever. He's a very good man who has been vilified by the press and extorted and betrayed by a gold digger. He's done the best he could do with that situation.

It’s about time somebody listed what Gibson actually did for Grigorieva since she met him, before she became a woman scorned and decided to extort him.

Gibson asked they use one of her songs when the EoD credits rolled and he made the audience sit through the song! Gibson bought a house through ICON so she had a place to live which was closer to her son’s school (when he was with her) because David Foster wanted her out of his house! She did numerous interviews set up by Alan Nierob paid for by Gibson. Gibson took her on the EoD promotion tour and the Russian Charity Concerts she gave in LA and Moscow were all paid for by Gibson. She had decided she would score his next movie “How I spent my Summer Vacation” , had ordered the sound equipment, which Gibson paid for. We know what he thought of her ability to score the film when he found out she had said that in an interview. Gibson allowed her to use his attorneys (no doubt paid for by him) to sue Oriti over the lingerie pictures and when she sobbed on his shoulder that she had problems with Dalton over custody of Alexander in 2008. He no doubt paid for the use of a lawyer who was part of his law-firm, the only law firm Gibson has used himself since all of this started.
Not forgetting Gibson has also paid for her 43+ lawyers and now she wants Gibson’s law firm removed from the case. Grigorieva consulted the lawyer in 2008 – long before Lucia was born, what does this have to do with their current custody fight?!

Though those that walk the street are those that can hope for redemption, since, as Jesus put it, they may have loved a lot. Bad for those, that did it out of sheer greed.

Regardless of the scandal at least some people who are less fortunate benefit from all of this. At least this is more productive than having him sit in a cell. Then again my opinion of criminals in general is they should be responsible for all the fees citizens have to pay to convict them. Let them earn money in prison that goes straight to paying off their tab instead of pumping iron all day.

There is plenty of poor children right here.....these A&&hole stars kill me helping other countries when they have enough children here that can use your help.
