Charlie Harper

Dies Tragic Death

6/27/2011 1:17 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

"Two and a Half Men" will turn dark for just a minute or two when it premieres in September ... because Alan and Jake will learn Charlie Harper bit the dust.

Sources connected with the show tell TMZ ... Chuck Lorre's plan is to make sure Charlie Sheen can NEVER come back on the show.  Although the first show won't be filmed until August 5, producers have been kicking around scenarios, which include Charlie driving a car over a cliff.

Of course, it would be art imitating life, because two of Charlie Sheen's cars went down a cliff on Mulholland Drive.

As for how Ashton Kutcher enters the picture, there's been talk that he buys Charlie's house after Charlie kicks the bucket.

Sources tell us ... the first script still isn't locked and Lorre often makes changes until close to taping, but it's pretty clear -- Charlie Harper is pushin' up daisies.

Well, so much for the 'theories' floating around that Charlie Harper won't be killed off so that there is a chance to bring him back later. Like anyone would want to subject themselves to that misery all over again.

George Creed what was it "Dallas" and they killed off Bobby, only to have him reappear one year later as what's her name was still in the shower, and I believe her comment was " I had such a nightmare dream..."

And so the ratings soared again...

And in Hollywood so it will be, Charlie dies, ratings go down after abit, Charlie is perhaps reserrected ratings go up and they all live happily ever after...

Bad move to kill him off, the show should always leave the chance he may come back to keep his loyal fans watching.

Dear Mr Lorre, PLEASE read.

First, Kill Charlie off, that's fine. But use a little imagination on how to do it. It must somehow involve alcohol and women.

Second, don't have Ashton "buy Charlie's house". Instead, have Ashton be his long lost son from an old flame. Great slap in the face to Charlie that he is old enough to be Ashton's father. Here is how it would go:
- Charlie has a freak accident involving women and alcohol
- Alan thinks he is inheriting everything and throws a big party
- Ashton suddenly shows up claiming to be Charlie's son and Ashton inherits everything
- Ashton lets Alan stay in the house as long as he pays rent
- Ashton lives the Charlie lifestyle

I doubt this show will make it to mid-season this year with that no talent schmuck Asston in a starring role. He wasn't all that amusing on That 70s Show and his movies have been far from super successful hits. He and Demi are so far off the A-List now that their names can't be seen any longer! Too bad for the other stars of 2 1/2 Men!

Why let him die in a car wreck and be remembered as good old Charlie? Why not really end his life by having him get married and move away where his wife controls his every move for the rest of his life!!

I love Two and a Half Men. I really like Ashton Kutcher, but I think actor Vincent Irizarry(he plays David Hayward on All My Children) would have been a better choice to take Charlie Harper's place.

Well this just guarantees that I won't be watching the show ever again. Chuck Lorre is a vindictive narcissist who needs to get over himself.
