Kings of Leon Singer

I'M 'TRYING TO GET BETTER'

8/2/2011 2:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Just two days after getting sick and bailing on a concert in Dallas -- "Kings of Leon" singer Caleb Followill took to the streets of New York for some fresh air, telling TMZ, "I'm just trying to get better".

And with a nearly two-month break before their next show -- thanks to a newly revised tour schedule -- Caleb should have plenty of time to make a full recovery.

Whatever happened to the days when bands were really bands? What about guys like Rollins from Black Flag and Joey from DOA, etc? Those front men were on the road 250 days a year giving their absolute all! Musicians today are such a bunch of wimps, you don't even need talent to be famous anymore; what the hell heppened to real music and those real guys and gals that made it real?

To best of my knowledge, you can't "recover" from being a douchebag in a pretentious, ∫hitty band.

those who call him names for getting sick and cancelling the tour were never really the fans. Ok so maybe he got a little too much to drink, maybe it was really the heat. Evidently the guy needs a break, they tour every year for many months so I'm surprised it's the first time that he got ill. You will get the full refund on the tickets so shut the hell up. You know only sex on fire and call yourself fans. Well, if you were, you'd understand that these things happen. think about it.

Just keep finding all the indie folk and all will be well with the world.Do not forget the true musos of the last century.Half of these plebs would not know a true musician if they were slapped in the face with one.Miley cyrus etc.The mind boggles.

If the Rolling Stones can vomit behind the amps during a concert these kids can, The show must go on.

If he's so "exhausted" and can't work he should be in rehab not strolling around NYC with his his wife Mrs. Photo Op. His family seems legitimately concerned for his health and his off partying with Yoko Ono instead of working.

"Streets of New York" and "Fresh Air" do not belong in the same sentence!
