Living in Waterworld Hell!

8/18/2011 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Nadya Suleman has a big problem with one of her kids -- the Doughboy.

Octo got a ticket from the City of La Habra for having a Doughboy, above-ground pool in her backyard, without a proper permit.  The City fined her $100, with a deadline for either removing the pool or getting the permit.

But Octo refuses to budge, because she believes some vindictive neighbors have unfairly singled her out for something that is pretty common in her neighborhood.  So now the fine has swelled to $600.

But all this fuss over the pool ignores the bigger problem -- What's Octo doing with a pool in her backyard when she has 14 kids she can barely control?

Pools require permits in La Habra. If she doesn't like it, she can either take the pool down or move. I'm quite sure her neighbors would much prefer the latter.

TeamNadya: Have you ever heard the saying, "Ignorance is no excuse for the law"? Judges say it often.

I want to point out that TMZ did NOT ask her for an interview. They just took her call. SHE is the one who wanted to go on that show and as far as I can see, they just let her talk, and talk, and talk.

Her calling her neighbor a "perpetrating pedophile" should be addressed by her neighbor. Hopefully, the neighbor will consider a lawsuit against her for slander.

Alvin I repeat... "I know some thinks she's insane by the way she talks, but that's just her way, she can't help it ( no more then people can help coming on here being mean and down right nasty towards Nadya). While I understand and some what agree with Harvey, I think it was also pretty unfair of Harvey and team (company) to toy with Nadya that way, they know how fast talkative she is in trying to get her point across... whether she called TMZ or not, they shouldn't have her do phone interviews if they're just going to make fun and be ignorant about it. Just saying..."

As for the nosey scary neighbor, If some man climb up on my backyard wall whether he lived next door or not-- taking video, pictures and watching my 14 children, I too would be very concern. suspicious and assume he's a "perpetrating pedophile". Let him try to sue, first thing Nadya lawyers is gonna want to know is what a grown man is doing peeking in Nadya's backyard where all her very young children are playing? They're gonna want to know why he's video and taking pictures too? Sounds a little freaking-- sick to me not to mention invading of privacy. Oh and Alvin that wall is there for a reason.

Oh's Harvey's fault for doing a phone interview with Nadya, even though she's the one that called them! Will you/she EVER take responsibility? Sheesh...

Why is it that the majority of Octomom stories always seem to be about her not paying her bills?

My husband bought one of those pools several years ago for our grand kids. There was a DVD in the box that went through the set up and safety. One of the things they discussed was checking with your local ordinances to see if permit was needed. It was in our area. We complied, no problems. Point is, I call baloney on her saying that Toys R Us should have told her to get a permit. The pool manufacturer says it point blank in the first 2 minutes of the set up video.

SARCIA!!! Get some reading comprehension! Here... I'll go step-by-step with this:

Bruno: 3 hours ago
"...But fenced in backyards do not have that same protection when a property line is shared..." -- this means any fence/coral/brick wall, etc. Any enclosure.

"Nadya said the man climb the wall too... " -- She did not! She said the two men were standing next to the wall looking over at the pool. One was the neighbor and the other was the City guy.

"Well um that sound like "Perpetrating Pedophile" to me, Child Pornography too." -- Encarta dictionary: ped-o-file: " adult who has sexual desire for children or who has committed the crime of sex with a child". Now... do you think Nutso can PROVE the neighbor has sexual desires for the kids or has committed a crime?

Alvin--Oh, and Sarcia... one of the neighbors next door to her is an attorney. Maybe she thinks he's one of the "pedophiles". If she calls him one, I'm sure he would have a field day in court!

Sarcia -- "Oh I see, so because he is an attorney, he is above the law?"
Who said the attorney is a ped? I just said her neighbor next door was an attorney and if she inferred he was a ped, she'd be in for a long court case for slander. Remember... she has to PROVE everything she is saying or is liable for slander.

Sarcia: "(a) Any person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows or willfully and maliciously harasses another person and who makes a credible threat with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear for his or her safety, or the safety of his or her immediate family is guilty of the crime of stalking, punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year, or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment, or by imprisonment in the state prison.

"willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows or willfully and maliciously harasses another person and who makes a credible threat..." -- Okay Sarcia, where did he maliciously do anything? And where is the credible threat?

Sarcia: "I rest my case!" -- No, you just "rested" your brain.

I bought the exact same pool...i live in a neighborhood in Cleveland and i have assclowns for neighbors also. They complained to the city and the city came and said i had to have a permit for mine end they made me remove it. Ohio law states that ANY pool over 10ft can be required to have a permit, depending on the city regs. It sux but thats how it goes.....this woman, however, sounds like she needs to worry about those kids and not a damn pool....

What..just because she is who she is, her kids should go all summer without being able to cool off and have fun like every other kid in the world does in the summer. Thats rich...punish the kids for their mother's issues.

How about running through the sprinklers if the kiddies get hot? That would make much more sense than having a pool when you have 14 kids (some with disabilities), 8 of them under the age of three and a mentally ill nincompoop who is supposed to watch them so they don't fall in and drown. I mean really....would anybody in their right mind come out and say that having a pool, (I could care less if its a blow up wadeing pool, a doughboy or an in ground pool) is a good idea???

This lady is nuts! Children can drown in as little as one inch of water! Social Services please step in and save these poor kids!

Why doesn't she just pay the fine and go on with her life if she doesn't like the public attention?

Some of us SAW that video before it was pulled.
And it was disgraceful....she literally threw her toddlers into the pool and they were screaming and crying.
It was child abuse in my book....or at best borderline.
