'Bachelor' Racism Lawsuit

Producers Encourage

White Power Mentality

The producers of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" are responsible for encouraging racism across the country by refusing to cast black people in the shows' central roles -- this according to a new class action lawsuit.

Christopher Johnson and Nathaniel Claybrooks filed the lawsuit today in Tennessee federal court against the shows' producers -- claiming they both auditioned for "The Bachelor" in Nashville in August 2011 ... but were brazenly denied based solely on the color of their skin.

Christopher and Nathaniel claim producers were afraid to cast them for fear of alienating "the show's majority-white viewership."

As a result, the guys claim producers are teaching the public how to be racist -- by demonstrating preferences for white relationships over non-white and interracial relationships.

They might have a point too ... because the show has never once cast a person of color -- black, Asian, Latino, whatever -- in the central role as Bachelor or Bachelorette.

"Bachelor" creator Michael Fleiss has even acknowledged the problem -- stating long before the lawsuit was filed ... "We always want to cast for ethnic diversity. It's just that for whatever reason, they don't come forward. I wish they would."

Chris and Nathaniel are now demanding a change in "Bachelor" policy -- requiring producers to "consider persons of color as finalists for the role of the Bachelor and the Bachelorette."

Oh yeah, they also want money -- an unspecified amount of punitive damages.

Yeah, white men and black women don't want to see a brother grinding, dry humping and bust'n slob with Backy on national TV. lol But we know they're watching brothers get down behind close doors when no one is looking. What's the #1 p0rn video that grosses 1 mil a month? Kim K and Ray J

Shoot, I dont even watch this show and I can concur with that! They have NEVER had 1 black contestant on either show and really, give me a break in this day and age! I think they should just dump both of these crap shows anyways since its all a scam! Not one couple other than the 1st bachelorette has actually made the effort of their relationship.

good for these two, make 'em pay, time to call Rev. Al...maybe this will bring an end to this fabrication of how couples do (or are expected to) relate to each other. its sad to know this trash is what today's Young people are exposed to and sub-consiously emulate in their own real lives. How many in the random public at-large can say they have ever had (or will have)a chance to pick from a mansion full of beautiful people to date. This franchise should be labeled as fake-lity. Shame on ABC for airing this racist garbage.

the show can choose whoever they want. these guys have absolutely no claim and this case will go nowhere. making choices based on television ratings and advertising dollars has nothing to do with the producers being racist. if your audience is 90+ percent white then the show is going to use white people as the bachelor or bachelorette. there is nothing legally wrong with that. they have had plenty of black and other races on the show as options for the bachelor or bachelorette to choose from. the show is not racist. get a life. attention whores.

So this was the plan all along. Sue the show, they knew good well that no black people was on it. Btw, why would a black person want to be the bachelor for just an all white female cast? Race issue there buddy boy?
I'm not a racist, i'm for black people working with white, and even "okay" with inter-racial marriage... However, if I want lets say... a show with just italian women & men, why should a chinese person be able to show me for racism?
Come on people. If this was a black show no "white" person would sue the show - and you know it.

Also, Trayvon was a punk.

ps! I once dated a black woman, beside her anger issue, she was intelligent and kind of cute.
So im not attacking black people at all. And yes, as an European I will never understand the anger in black people because of slavery, but come on... its 2012.

I'm so sick of the damn RACIST card being pulled. Only the blacks are racist. Get over it. Maybe they need the money and that's why they are suing??

Black folks wouldn't do that crap. Oh wait, Flava of Love on VH1 and they had white, black, latina, asian, and more. I forgot they started the whole Reality revolutions. Forget those fake butt folks on that one race show. You can't blame "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" they're just giving their audience what they want, all white folks who can't act their way out of a corner...
