Warren Sapp

Tackles Debt School Duty

... GRADUATES!

6/24/2012 5:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0619_warren-sapp_gettyBroke NFL legend Warren Sapp just pulled a Garey Busey and officially graduated from debt school!!!!!!

TMZ broke the story ... the Superbowl champ filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in April -- claiming he was over $6.7 million in debt to creditors -- but as part of the deal he was ordered by a court to complete a financial management course to learn how to better handle his dough.

Looks like Sapp owned that course ... he just received his "Certificate of Debtor Education" on June 19, 2012 from a company that offered the class online called Credit Card Management Services ... officially putting the former NFL star on the path to financial recovery.

Now he has a Superbowl ring and a debt school certificate!

TMZ, every time someone replies to a comment, you should notify the user. This way it allows people to know how stupid they are. The majority of people who comment on here need to know how stupid they sound. This site is filled with losers.

I would bet $1 that he paid somebody to take the course for him.

Sapp was a sociology major along with football in college. Adding 2+2 is not his specialty.

Big whoop. The Financial Management class for bankruptcy takes an hour or two to complete and is geared so even the most unsophisticated debtors can complete it. The class is online and costs between $15.00 and $50.00. It teaches you, sort of, how to do a budget and balance a checkbook. This class was mandated by Congress in the bankruptcy changes in 2005. Interestingly, Congress does not require it's members to take it.

Everyone who files Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy has to complete the financial management course before their case is discharged.
