Felicity Huffman & Bill Macy

Sued for Stairway

'Slip and Fall'

8/15/2012 10:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0815_felicity_huffman_william_h_macy_gettyWatch your step at William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman's Hollywood Hills home -- according to a new lawsuit the A-list couple has a staircase so dangerous it caused a woman to slip, fall, and seriously injure herself.

Felicity and Bill are being sued by a woman named Lourdes Orozco ... who claims she went down hard on the stairway from hell back in April, 2011.

According to the lawsuit the stairs were "dirty and poorly maintained," and lacked "regulated handrails."

The suit further alleges WHM and his wife were negligent ... because they "knew or should have known" the stairway conditions "could easily cause anyone to slip and fall, as in [Orozco's] case, resulting in serious personal injury."

The lawsuit also accuses Macy and Huffman of willful failure to warn Orozco about the allegedly horrendous staircase.

It's unclear from the documents what Orozco's relationship is to Bill and Felicity. She's suing for damages in excess of $25,000 ... including lost wages and medical expenses.

Harvey, you're a lawyer and I'm a paralega. We both know that this is a 'STANDARD' Complaint. Easy to copy and paste.

Whats next, she going to sue the Earth because of rough terrain & no hand rails?

People are so sue happy these days. Can't even have someone walk through your home without them trying to score a dime of your hard earned money.

Everyone is so quick to sue.... can't make your own money? Find someone who did and come up with a way to take theirs. This suit is bull. She fell... also known as an accident. The only reason she is suing is because it happened at a celebs house and she thinks she can get free money. I wouldn't be surprised if she tossed herself down the stairs.

Does any one here remember when they did a re-make of Psycho? Yea, didn't think so. It was one of the biggest box office bombs in history. When it was released , William H. Macy had the gall to attack the original Psycho , saying it "wasn't a very good movie, and "Hitch**** made lots of mistakes...." What a walking ego. It reminded me of that old SCTV skit where the character Bobby Bittman does a remake of On the Waterfront called "On The Waterfront...Again" and says his re-make is better than Brando's. Hey William "H"-you're a total jackazz.

This is one of the things that embarrasses me about being American. In any other country it would be your own damn fault if you fall down stairs. Here you get a huge payout.

Im guessing by her name she's a maid. And she wants money for falling, imagine that.

'Just a wild guess: Is she part of their staff? That's work comp. $25,000! She better have all of her limbs broken and be in traction for that kind of money. I hope she doesn't get anywhere near that amount, if anything at all - gold digger! Here's another wild guess: She doesn't have insurance.

By the way, TMZ, what is the extent of her injuries? That should be part of this story.

I didn't realize there were regulations for handrails within the confines of one's home. Sounds like someone wants to get paid.

So she claims that the stairs were dirty and poorly maintaned.
Well wasn't that the reason that she was employed, to clean and maintain the stairs.
