Candy Crowley

CNN Ducking Controversy

10/17/2012 1:02 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

You'd think CNN would be thrilled with all the controversy over Candy Crowley's performance at last night's Presidential debate, but we've learned network honchos are NOT happy she's become part of the story.

Multiple sources connected with CNN tell TMZ ... the honchos think Candy did a good job, but they're freaking out over allegations that she was pro-Obama and harsh on Romney. As one source put it, "They want to make all of the publicity over Candy just go away, because it calls into question CNN's impartiality."

Another well-connected CNN source scoffs at the reaction, telling us, "It's typical. This type of publicity is great. More people know who Candy Crowley is than ever before, and CNN is blowing the chance of exploiting it."

A CNN source says putting Candy on the network last night immediately following the debate was not because CNN was bragging about her performance ... it was "damage control."

The source added, "What CNN cares about is the brand.  It's all about the brand."

So 1980.

Get TFOH...she interrupted EVERYTIME Romney gained some momentum, they need to change that title from moderator to Obamas-detonator, becuz she shut Romney down every 2seconds: My Guy Romney could not finish his sentences or finalize his point without her grim looking ass or Obama glaring at him, then cutting him off.

I think we need to quit trying to debate left-leaning Democrats like Crowley. It just keeps going on and on and the average Democrat doesn't complain when the rules and law are broken in their favor. I.e., rules and law don't mean anything to Democrats. Fine.... let's all play. See if the Democrats like it when other people play the same unethical games. They're too dumb to think that far ahead.

When you as a Moderator months prior use the term "death wish" when referring to Romney picking Ryan as his VP then jump in to defend Obama with something that later turns out to be false then ur gonna be part of the story. you don't jump in to defend a certain candidate, they defend themself and u especially don't defend them with something you know is false and later have to admit the person who accused of lying was right all along!

Crowley injected herself into the debate. That was where she messed up. She's the moderator; She is there to make sure the debaters answer the questions they are asked, and in a timely manner. She placed herself in the position of the President when she responded to Romneys question.

Loss of credibilty means Candy Crowley will have a future on Al Gore's UNSEEN network like what happend to Ollbermann and Joy Behar. Its where old newscaster careers go to die.

It's pretty obvious that Candy Crowley had one absolute imperative on her mind.

That would be to not let Romney get the upper hand on the topic of Nine Eleven Twelve. She knew it was coming and she knew she had to be ready. She's as much as admitted it.

It almost looked staged to me. Obama told a WHOPPER - something so stunningly false that Mitt just asked him to clarify and repeat for the record.

On cue, Crowley jumped in, confirmed the lie, and cut Romney off. It didn't matter that she was wrong, and it didn't matter that she was out of line.

Candy Crowley was not going to go down in history as the moderator that handed America to Mitt Romney on a golden platter, and she knew full well that Nine Eleven Twelve was Obama's achilles heel.

Candy Crowley injected herself into the presidential debate. She should be reprimanded or fired. She destroyed the integrity of the process, abused her position as moderator, and attempted to influence the course and outcome of the debate. Shame.

Forcing religious groups to provide birth control including the abortion pill is my deciding factor because women have the righ to control their bodies with refusing unprotected sex or buy your own birth control. It equates to a fat guy suing burger king for his diabetes. If Obama gets away with this, then he will make it illegal for religious groups to speak out against the sin of homosexuality but freely against other sins, showing sin prejudice, Democratic pro-gay marriage, the Libya attack, and how Obama is handling Israel kept my vote with Romney.

A moderator is supposed to be both professional and neutral. Candy Crowley was neither. Very disappointing, CNN. She seemed to make light of the use of the word "terror" and "terrorist activities" when the issue of Libya was briefly raised. The president even joked with her about repeating what she had just said, and they both laughed. She must remember that Congressional hearings are currently being held to determine the culpability for well-do***ented evidence of impending violence at our consulate and embassy being ignored, resulting in the deaths of 4 Americans. This debate was more of a "game" to Ms. Crowley, and her bias was so obvious that several people watching changed their votes at the end of the poorly moderated debate. However, Ms. Crowley should never forget that there is no shortcut to professionalism and compassion, which go hand in hand for a successful and sincere journalist and moderator.
