Kate Middleton

The Corporate Race

12/6/2012 1:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Kate Middleton
is only a few weeks pregnant ... but already being SHOWERED with lavish gifts from tons of baby product companies ... all gunning for what could be the HOLY GRAIL of preggo publicity.

TMZ has learned ... Kate has already received swanky goodie-baskets from at least 4 U.S.-based baby product companies ... and presumably dozens, if not hundreds, more from around the globe.

The logic is simple ... Kate likes the goods ... uses goods ... is photographed with goods ... goods get WORLDWIDE publicity ... company makes a bloody fortune.

So far, we know Kate been sent kiddy learning programs from ... morning sickness relief from a company called One Step Ahead ... and clothes and products from 2 high end L.A. baby boutiques.

We spoke to a rep for Bel Bambini in Beverly Hills ... who told us they sent Kate a $2,300 gift basket which included a new Bugaboo Cameleon 3 stroller (worth $978), a Fendi layette set ($265), Dior Booties ($275) and much much more.

Kate also got more than $1,000 in free baby swag from Flicka -- a high-end baby store owned by "General Hospital" star John Reilly. Management tells us they shipped over their "hot selling Choo Choo blankies" which have been worn by a whole bunch of celeb babies.

Guess Kate can cancel the baby shower ... unless Queen Elizabeth's just DYING to play "Guess the Due Date."

It doesn't matter what they sent. She can't accept it anyway.

That pic is so disrespectful!! Kate and William will have a child born out of LOVE and the media (TMZ no exception) post rubbish like this. Shameful!!

I hope she donates all that stuff and uses none of it....these people should be ashamed of themselves.

It has to be a male person writing this because "the fetus" is actually a baby, even though it is in the first few weeks of development. Ask any mother and she will tell you she is carrying a BABY not a fetus.

As if Kate's actually going to be taking care of the baby instead of a houseful of nannies.

The Royal Family is not allowed to accept gifts.

Unless the clothing bears the Official coat of arms of the house of Windsor in gold thread, it's going to the dumpster. Carriage? If it's not being pulled by a team of royal steeds, then it goes to the royal incinerator. I'm thinking that there will be no shortage of royal supplies and wet wipes, and no shortage or royal helper nanny hands to wipe its little soiled royal bottom. All as it should be. Kelly, below, has it right. I look at it with disgust, and as just another sign of how slimy the world has become. And just one more thing: BREASTFEED! It really makes a difference.

Wow if only needy people would get that attention: I became a widow when my daughter was 18months now i am a grandmother of 3 girls and trying to help my daughter raise them also while shes looking for work......... but of course these companies are only interested in profits not helping. Im glad Kate is feeling better because morning sickness is noooo joke.......uggggggg

Why are these companies sending these rich do-nothings free swag? Why not send it to poor woman and homeless shelters? These useless people are showered with unearned everything from the minute they are born until the minute. they die.

What a useless bunch of blood sucking parasites these people are.

Thank your Lucky Stars Kate for attending University of St. Andrews! You are seriously one of the Luckiest woman on earth to have bumped into Prince William in that school! A TRUE Cinderella story.

the american idiots have to realize that english royalty needs NONE of that commercial crap...they get everything made custom to avoid being seen as
endorsing something.

I am pretty certain that everything will be sent back to the companies with a note thanking them but explaining they do not accept gifts. They are very big on there being no perception of favoritism of one over the other .
