Magic Johnson Tells All

Gay Son, Black Hatred

& Closeted Athletes Coming Out

4/4/2013 10:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Magic Johnson has never talked about it before ... but he wanted to open up about his gay son and the implications that Earvin Johnson III's coming out will have in the black community, in the sports community and in their lives.

TMZ sat down with the NBA legend for an unbelievably candid interview -- we've divided the video into three parts:

1) How Magic went to his son around the age of 13 and asked, "Are you gay?" Magic explains why he felt the need to approach his kid and the importance of letting EJ know his whole family loved and supported him.

2) Magic tells us how he feels about some of the hateful reactions to EJ's coming out on African-American blogs and whether he's bitter, given his unparalleled support of the black community.

3) Magic talks about how his son's coming out could inspire professional athletes to follow suit.  Harvey also asks Magic how, as the owner of the L.A. Dodgers, he would react to a player coming out.

You gotta watch Magic -- he's awesome and inspiring.

Magic is a homosexual that wants to violate other men! Everyone that went to college especially all the gays knew about Magic. Sure he has a "wife"! Before Cookie Johnson leaves this earth she will express the paid that DL Magic JOHNSON caused her. And the heart break relative to her son! Ask Magic about his tyranny!

Your son's important to his gay friend, not you, "Magic John..."

You, in contrast, pretended you needed to quit the NBA when you were an AIDS whore. You couldn't wait to cash in on the winning teams & adoration of fans & players who watched you announce your retirement. You thought you had no deadly disease while you were with uninfected sex partners; you claimed you cared about not infecting the players with HIV. Yeah right. YOU returned to the Olympics to take advantage of the tolerant NBA players and play the brave Olympic hero. Your sex partner had no choice about AIDS infection.
Your son is not you. Therefore, you are not a hero for gay people.

The New Improved Sock Puppet

The kid is kind of cute in that crazy Jewish grandmother way.

The math is simple, more gay black men equals less procreation and black families. African Americans cannot afford any more damage to their family structure -- Example causes of this damage are slavery, unfair justice systems, negative uneducated portrayals of black people in the Jewish media, and the list goes on. Effects of this damage have caused the black man to be absent in the black family. Man, I wish black people were organized like they were in the 60's, and Martin Luther King was still alive. Not the "I have a dream Martin" -- the Martin that Jewish media never plays -- the "be proud to be black Martin". I love magic, and all of his accomplishments, but I wish it were someone else in this interview.

Gravity's Silhouette

What professional athlete would look act Magic's son and be "inspired" to come out of the closet? There's nothing inspiring about EJ. He's not even an athlete. He's a 20 year old indulging in a lifestyle paid for by his father's millions; not trying to earn his own living. It's ludicrous to expect that because he came swishing out of a closet that an A-list athlete will suddenly gather the courage to tell the world he (or she) is gay. EJ's son is no role model for any athlete. He may be a role model for a person who has a famous athlete for a father and wants to tell the father they're gay, but other than that, there's nothing to be inspired by here. It won't make one difference. You're gonna need a Tom Brady/Aaron Rodgers level player to come in order to get taken seriously. Someone like EJ isn't going to cut it, especially when it's been obvious since he was 13 that he was gay.
