'Big Brother' Host Julie Chen

By Our Racist Houseguests

7/9/2013 5:58 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Sure, she plays it cool on the show ... but "Big Brother" host Julie Chen says she's well aware of all the disgusting racist comments being made inside the house ... and she's offended.

Julie and her husband, CBS honcho Les Moonves, were leaving Craig's in L.A. last night when we asked how she felt about houseguest Aaryn's racist comments about Asians.

"Personally, I was offended," Chen told TMZ ... "I was offended by all the comments -- the anti-gay, the anti-black, but especially the anti-Asian ones ... for obvious reasons."

Still, Chen says she's hopeful Aaryn will be able to "change the way she thinks" after she leaves the BB house.

Chen does take one thinly-veiled shot at Aaryn when asked about the houseguest being dropped by her modeling agency -- check out the clip.

Chen thinks she's White. Irish perhaps.

I'm offended that Big Brother has sunk this low for ratings.

Is it just me or does Moonves look SUPER uncomfortable and almost angry in this clip? Yikes. Aaryn was dumber than a box of rocks to insult the ethnicity of the CEO of CBS' wife! How stupid can a person possibly be?

Oh no, reality tv shows an actual bit of reality. People talk crap... wait... nobody cares - the show's 15 minutes was up a long time ago.

she's such a hypocrite. her own show is racist, won't even consider a latino a co-host

The thing is - racist and/or gay slurs have been said in almost every season of Big Brother, but they usually do NOT air them. The producer of Big Brother, Alison Grodner, has previously said in interviews that the reason they weren't aired is because they don't want to offend the public. (More like they didn't want to lose advertisers).

If Aaryn would have stuck to insults against blacks and gays -- they likely wouldn't have aired it either.

But since she said offensive things towards the ethnicity of the CEO of CBS' wife and host of the show--- they finally have aired the slurs.

Didn't Les Moonves once answer "chinese" when asked what his favorite thing to eat was? God forbid some lowly serf makes such a comment.

I think Julie Chen being offended is just ridiculous. I have seen clips of her on The Talk and she makes all kinds of Asian stereotype jokes but that is OK. I am sick of people being offended by someone else doing the same thing they do. This country has become overly sensitive. Maybe because of my race I don't understand it like I would if I was a different race.

Is it racist to point out that Martin Luther King used the donations he received on drugs, booze, and white prostitiues, and often beat the crap out of them? This is according to the CIA and a member if his inner circle.

Oh Julie, Go sit your chink a$s down

Yeah right Julie! You and that husband of yours weren't offended enough to pull the show off the air or drag those goats out of the house. I guess the end justifies the means. It's all about the almighty dollar. Have fun spending that money in the afterlife.

BB not bb

She used to have very large lips and a wide nose. She had that all surgically changed and now she looks like a different person. Did she do that to look more European? Is that racist?

She seems like she is very smart and always tries to say and do the most appropriate looking thing. She is so controlled, she just seems bland and like she is really saying and doing nothing.

I didn't feel like she actually slurred anyone really, but she did act like the girl needed to improve once she leaves the house. With a name like Aaryn, which is really a boy's name and is also Aryan in juxtaposition, I think hearing talk like that was part of her upbringing.

Of course she is offended because she is Chinese. She also seems like she doesn't even care that much.
