Beyonce

Honors Trayvon Martin

Following Not Guilty Verdict

7/14/2013 9:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

Beyonce
interrupted her own concert last night to take a moment of silence for Trayvon Martin ... right after news broke that jurors found his shooter, George Zimmerman, not guilty.

It happened at Bey's Nashville concert Saturday. About 30 minutes before the singer took the stage, news broke that Zimmerman was acquitted of both the 2nd degree murder charge and manslaughter charge in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon.

After the moment of silence, Beyonce sang the chorus of "I Will Always Love You" (above), before leading into her own gut-wrenching ballad "Halo".

This verdict is very sad. George Zimmerman should be in jail. Sending love to the Martin family. I hope they find peace.

Justice is served!

The reality is that blacks are always going to stand together as a people regardless of the issue...just look at OJ. And they are the most racist people on the planet because they are raised to always inject race into their life. Sad. Beyonce? Her name alone is racist and promotes a division and between Americans and her desire not to mix in with what America is all about. Her husband jz. Is the same way...just because you are rich doesn't make you smart

My Neice saw her Wednesday night, and she said it was the most amazing concert ever. Prop's to Beyonce for honoring a young man whos life was cut short too soon. He was a Son, Brother, friend, and most of all, a human being.

This verdict might teach thugs that you cant attack a person, you might get shot!

Ghetto people always stick together. This kid was at fault. He attacked the other guy. Sure, that guy didn't need too keep following him and start a confrontation, but an assault did not need to occur from Martin, he could have kept going about his business.

Plus, we all know he's a thug, he had no receipt for the skittles and ice tea and the store had no record of the sale, so gangster thug martin stole the things. Justice has been served. One less thug in society and self defense wins out.

Just one more reason why I don't like bouncy

Zimmerman was found not guilty but this does not mean that he is innocent...In terms of the law, I have a better understanding now about the verdict...but all I keep thinking is if Zimmerman hadn't tried to take the law into his own hand, this kid would still be alive. The kid obviously was a street kid (no angel) and Zimmerman got his ass whopped...If he didn't have that gun I wonder if he would have been so quick to harass that kid... again, cant over THE FACT that Trayvon was just going about his business, now is there a law against that?

Florida has the Stand Your Ground law. I'm so sick of everything being racial. The law is what it is and the prosecution was horrible. it is sad a young man lost his life. Time to move forward.

What the hell is it with Florida and getting away with murdering children and young people? That Zimmerman guy said that young man was a "f-ing coon" that always gets "away with it." and his defense cleaned that up fast. That's a real shame. That poor kid didn't do anything but walk while black.

Have you ever sat on a jury? You have to be 100% convinced of the defendants guilt. You cannot vote on feelings or would should have been...I watched the case gavel to gavel and the prosecution did not prove it's case. There were too many holes in it's case. The defense put on a better case and based on that, is the reason for acquittal. I feel terrible for parents loosing a child I know too well what that does to parents, but this had to be done by the law in our courts, not on emotions and not because Al Sharpton got on his high horse to make this a race issue. I was recently on a jury and elected foreperson, we all knew this punk was guilty but the prosecution couldn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt so we had to vote for acquittal. That is how the system works.

People keeping saying Justice is served how? How is this justice..you really can sit back and say Zimmerman is not guilty of anything?? I'm sorry can any of you honestly say if you were walking in the dark and someone was following you and git closer u don't know this person..its dark raining ur alone..ur not gonna turn around and defend urself. .is it not possible Trayvon thought he was in danger..but just because he knew how to handle himself he deserved to die..he was boy..this is not justice..I'm not surprised. that Anthony chick walked free she was clearly guilty..but a black mom selling weed to feed her children goes to jail...thats Justice in America..history has taught us that
