Cory Monteith

Did Not Die

From 'Deadly' Heroin

EXCLUSIVE

Cory Monteith did NOT die from a new strain of deadly heroin that has been going around the Vancouver area -- this according to the coroner.

A police dept. 40 miles from Vancouver had issued a release warning a "toxic' mixture of heroin and fentanyl has caused a spike in heroin ODs.

The coroner who did the autopsy on Cory tells TMZ ... NO FENTANYL was found in Cory's system.

We're hearing the likely scenario is that Cory had not used heroin since entering rehab in April, and he may have gone back to the same dose he had learned to tolerate when he was using, but because his body was clean it couldn't handle the shock.

If it's any consolation to his fans, with his high blood alcohol level he probably burned up quick.

Well at least there's some good news - it was the good heroin and not some cheap stuff.

How come in the U.S. when someone dies it takes WEEKS for the toxicology reports but in Canada it doesn't take but one day?????

Im sitting here reading these comments and just think to myself how cold people can really be. How could you demean someone by calling them a stupid druggie when you have no idea of what or who he really was. Addiction is a disease. I am SURE he did not want to die as he had LOTS to live for. He simply couldnt handle his thoughts and negative emotions and did what every other addict does... escape the harsh realities of life. I am certainly not condoning it, im just saying that no one deserves to be disrespected for anything. He had his issues and he couldnt deal with it and no amount of money was able to fill that void in his heart. I pray that he is at peace now that he has found his ultimate escape :(

1. Was Cory enabled during production of GLEE?

2. What role did his agent, who has been largely silent, play in obtaining of drugs?

3.Did the shooting of McCannick, in which he plays a drug addicted hustler, negatively impact his sobriety?

4. Why wasn't he in aftercare? Were the demands of production of GLEE such that the production staff enabled his addiction until they could get through season?

Clearly no one does their research or even a quick google search. It's not that heorin isn't inherently dangerous, but heroin / Fentanyl combo is particularly dangerous b.c just a small dosage of fentanyl is enough to take a person down but a fentanyl/heroine ****tail is almost 100% guaranteed to kill someone bc of how strong the drug is alone. Therefore a person, even a seasoned addict could take their "regular" amount of the drug and still OD.
Also TMZ this isn't "NEW STRAIN" this has been around for years.. and have been plenty of deaths caused from it... again google..not a hard thing to use.

Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than morphine, mixing that with heroin causes a "small" or even "normal" amount of heroin deadly. That's what TMZ is saying, and that's why they put "deadly" in quotes...
