Toni Braxton
may still have a song in her heart after filing for bankruptcy, but she just lost more than 2 dozen tunes that made her famous -- because some dude bought them right out from under her ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Braxton struck a deal in her bankruptcy case, in which she settled with her various debtors.  Part of the deal -- Toni could buy back 27 songs from her music catalog for $20K -- with one BIG string attached ... she could be outbid.

Enter a guy named Ross M. Klein, who doubled Toni's price and nabbed the tunes.

Among the 27 are a few hits, including "You're Making Me High," "How Many Ways," and "Always."

Perhaps her biggest hit ... "Un-Break My Heart" is not among the 27 -- but probably only because Dianne Warren wrote it ... not Toni.

Sometimes, it's hard to carry a tune in bankruptcy.

She's a twit who doesn't know how to control herself when it comes to money. No sympathy.

she had a tour planned that she had to cancel and the insurance company(which insures tour cancellation) refused to cover the her tour cancellation citing that he her lupus was a preexisting medical problem...so the people who were supposed to get payed by the tour sued her....lupus is an autoimmune disease which is taboo...you can be born predisposed to getting an autoimmune disease...but not actually show signs of it until something triggers it(toxins,age...etc)...so insurance companies can say its "preexisting" even though you may not show signs of an autoimmune disease your whole life and all of a sudden signs of the disease appear...insurance companies always try to find a way to get out of covering someone...why wouldnt they? when paying can cost them several million dollars...so i feel sorry for toni

Her 1st bankruptcy was not from the mismanagement of fund, it was because Arista cheated her out of her money. The 2nd bankruptcy was from her getting sick with Lupus and having back out of all of those contract deals. She really isn't broke any more and that is why she is trying to reconcile all of her debt. Before u go off and say she is a mismanager of funds do some research.

I guess a lot of people do not know the issues she's been going through. Toni made a major mistake the first time she went bankrupt but was able to pull out of it when she topped the charts again. BUT....The second time was when she collapsed and fell ill during her run in vegas. She had to close her show weeks early and was then diagnosed with a heart ailment and lupus and her insurance denied her coverage to help pay the medical bills and vendors that she owed from the show....so everything had to come out of pocket, so to protect her assets she had to file.

The second bankruptcy was an unfortunate situation, and it's hard for her to tour and be active working because she still has lupus (which isn't curable) and have random flare ups (the steroids she's on results in her "puffy" face.)

So before you comment, please check the background of celebrity stories. Lets see how you manage your money when you become a millionaire and an auto-immune disease puts you out of work and you are stuck with the bill.

Lets see how good you are at managing your money when you are a contractor who could not complete a contract...and is stuck piecing together dollars to pay medical bills and losses due to an issue YOU could not avoid.
