'Duck Dynasty' Stars

Preaching in Church

We're Hunting for Salvation

9/5/2013 7:19 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

Here's something you probably didn't know: the stars of "Duck Dynasty" are hardcore Christian evangelists who frequently preach at their local church ... and TMZ has video of some of last weekend's sermons.

A ministry assistant at White's Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, LA tells TMZ, Phil Robertson and his family have been active at the church for more than 30 years.

We're told Phil regularly gives fiery sermons -- but last weekend, the entire family joined in, when the church celebrated Duck Commander Sunday ... a yearly tradition where the entire Robertson family preaches to the congregation in full camo (not kidding).

Funny... we're told the Duck Commander Sunday tradition existed long before the A&E reality show.

You gotta listen to the video ... these guys are intense.

"Here's something you probably didn't know: the stars of "Duck Dynasty" are hardcore Christian evangelists who frequently preach at their local church."

Let me rephrase that, "Here's something you probably didn't know if you haven't been paying attention while watching "Duck Dynasty", but the stars are are hardcore Christian evangelists who frequently preach at their local church."

BB not bb

I can't watch this. It sounds like the typical church mumbo jumbo to me. What is so intense and great about these guys? They look like something that rolled out of a gutter with a bottle of MD 20/20.

This is typical redneck cheerleading. What do these people do for a living, kill ducks? What is so holy about them? They just come out as funky as they want to be and claim the sanctity of God.

Is this supposed to be a Christian show? is it like Seventh Heaven for the new millennium? People in a swamp calling ducks and going to church to proclaim their glory.; I say "who carers?".

TMZ - I'm asking you to leave this family alone. God or no God, they have morals, they raise their family right. They do not deserve the unfounded attack that the evil people who love nothing more than to spue hate about anyone and everyone that comment on this site...The same people who DAILY will call the Kardashians whores will look at THIS family that do havve morals and STILL find a way to talk trash. I love TMZ obviously I read it every other day but I hate the evil people who comment on everything, even **** they don't care about. this family doesent deserve that

I actually like these guys, not a hardcore fan like some. But, I have to give them credit for not shoving there religion down our throats, or even mentioning it from the little I've seen. Religion is personal and should be kept that way.

There have been videos of the Robertson's preaching at their church, and on the road, on YouTube for years and years.
Once again, you're late to this party, TMZ . . .

South Side

They must have been wiping their tears with their beards when Teblow was dumped by the Patriots. That makes my smile.

Got nothing against this family, but they're open to just as much ridicule as any other reality TV stars. They're banking on the 'redneck lifestyle' (just like the 50 other redneck reality TV shows on these days). The only thing is they found a niche and it happens to be religion. Yes, they're serious with it, but they're making money off it too. They have merch at Target and Walmart and online. They are making money off being religious, therefore they are not above getting talked about or ridiculed or anything else that happens to reality TV stars. If you like them, by all means watch them... but you can't tell online gossip rags to stop taking about them JUST because you happen to be the same religion they are. BTW, people have morals without religion.
