Paul Walker's Father

'Fast & Furious' Was Just a Role...

My Son Was NO Street Racer

12/4/2013 5:50 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Paul Walker would NOT have been cool with Roger Rodas pushing the Porsche Carrerra GT to dangerous speeds the day they died ... that according to Paul's father.

Paul Walker Sr. says he's heard all the rumors about his son being into street racing -- but insists that's simply not true, because ... "He did not ever want to hurt anybody."

In the clip, Paul Sr. does admit his son loved going fast in cars, but only under specific conditions .. which he describes.

As for what went wrong Saturday afternoon? Paul's dad sounds as puzzled as the rest of us at this point.

I think most people with some sense know he wasn't a racer. It was very unfortunate that he got in a dangerous car and it malfunctioned. They need to get these cars off American streets!

Is it really the right time to be dealing with this? Paul didn't drive, his friend did. An accident occurred, and 2 people died, leaving children and loved ones in pain. Leave the families alone, they will deal with it. It's none of anybody's business but theirs!

And this just confirms my belief that everybody from California is ****ing weird !!!! What kind of dad goes on TMZ two days after his sons death and casually talks about it like last nights football game... that state should be nuked and maybe the country would be normal again.

Hey, Papa Walker - just because someone enjoys cars, racing and the need for speed does not mean they want to "hurt" someone. Even if your son did enjoy cars and racing, it doesn't make him a bad person. It simply makes him a victim of unfortunate cir***stances.

with all due respect parents are not the best ones to be asking for unbiased opinions of their children. Theyre always gonna give the best possible PR and spin on things. Theyre also often the last to know about their childs darker sides.

Sir, I just want to tell ya, your son was and still is very handsome. Everything about him is restored and he is with his father in Heaven. Life does not end here.
Hugs to you and your family. Just know you will see his handsome smiling face again when the good Lord calls you Home.

He is obviously not a street racer. He has the money and cars and connections and actually races on the track.. he's not one of those guys on the street with something to prove and rent to pay. He actually has fast cars.

But like many guys, he's an adrenaline junkie. I think we all want that thrill of being in a fast car. And there' s a good chance Roger was a very trusted driver. They took the chance on a pretty empty road. Unfortunately, things went wrong. It was a tragic accident. Accident. But at least he lived his life enjoying his passions.

That corpse admitted to going 185 on a freeway. If his dad wants to keep his head in the sand, that's fine. But his son was a danger to people when he was behind the wheel of a car.

WELL DONE TMZ!!! Just cant get enough can you? Can't you let people grieve and leave them alone EVER? Instead you have your loser camera people that have such great people skills grilling some poor father who lost his son with bullsh8t questions about if he was street racing. SMH!! Inconsiderate pieces of trash. Leave the dude alone already! Im sure the first thing he thought was, 'gee, i would love to talk to TMZ if I could. You people are total s***. No better than ambulance chasers, in fact.........worse. Keep up the good work.
